Sucks to trade Batherson after getting him, but cap space seems to be at a premium, and I'm okay with sucking this year. Rosen is a good prospect and it should help me shore up other areas. Blueger is a good depth center.
Thanks, Harry.

To NYR: Mitch Marner, Matty Beniers, 2026 2nd round pick (VAN)
To COL: Morgan Geekie, Yanni Gourde, Matthew Wood, 2026 1st round pick (NYR)
Tough deal to make, especially giving up my McKenna lottery ticket. But I don't want be in a perennial rebuild either, and I feel I've added enough to my prospect pool over the last couple of years (including four 1sts next week) to make a move like this and add quality to the roster. Happy to add a 100 point player in Marner and a good young center in Beniers.
Giving up Geekie and Wood stings a bit. I believe Geekie was the last remnant from the team I inherited when I took over the Rangers 7 years ago, and I believe Wood was actually the first 1st round pick I ever made in the CPHL (despite being in the league for over a decade at that point lol). Geekie has had a really good season, and we'll see if he can replicate that ... Wood is a solid prospect, but I don't know if he can overcome his skating at the next level.
Thanks to Macho0978, always a pleasure to deal with. Obviously stockpiling those McKenna lottery tickets, so I'm curious how that'll play out.

Well done on that deal guys. I have concerned Matty Beniers "is what he is" and there is no more room to grow but getting Marner to ease that is nice.

happy to bring Geekie back into the fold. Time will tell if the 33 goals were a mirage or not, but more than willing to take that bet. Thanks Macho0978 for yet another quick and easy deal.
