Moving on...
Yeah... like Tanner Glass!
And Matt Bartkowski!
And let's make sure to scratch our only goal scorer in the last eight periods to keep Garnet Hathaway in!

As nice as it is to see Foo in the lineup, it's a drop in the ocean. Part of that falls on management for keeping these plugs around too, but overall there is so very little to be excited about. Meaningless game, yes. But that's almost more reason to experiment.

lmao why does anyone care what the line up is, so what if shore is on the first line. There is literally zero players in the line up that are first line centers. And these games going forward mean absolute jack all other than to see what we have in some guys without contracts next year.

Well, now I've seen everything this year. CP is actually upset that Matt freakin' Stajan is scratched for a game.

WTF is going on around here...

Heres the thing. We know its relatively meaningless.

But its not our job. Its their product and we're paying for it, so it has to deliver.

Technically for the guys on the ice and within the Organization there should be no 'Meaningless Games.'

We all know that isnt strictly true but they should be icing the best lineup that they can. Especially considering the fact that they've been disappointing the hell out of their home fans all season long so phoning it in now seems like a special kick in the face.

I'm going to be taking my son for his first ever Flames game, so hopefully we aren't flying back to Regina empty handed tomorrow morning. My boy will be decked out with his "McDavid is a whiner" sign for HNIC cameras.

I'm just saying, experimenting with different combinations of players is done during games like these. Most of the roster is known, but guys like Shore and Foo haven't been given a chance to show what they can do in an offensive role this year. Give them the opportunity at least so a future role in the organization can be pondered.

And Matt Stajan...we know what Matt Stajan can do, and it's not a whole lot at this point in his career. Are we really lamenting the loss of Stajan to the lineup now? How far we've fallen...

I do that too. Can't stand the Randorff/Debrusk crew or Principe, so avoid them (among others).

Foo? Sure give him a shot to play with Johnny. Try various different combinations? Sure. Shore has come in and taken Monahan's spot so far. This is his third game playing there. Too much set in stone even at this point of the season. Yes, experiment! Show some indication that the team has not completely mailed it in. Show some frigging pride.

The Oilers have Rogers/HNIC in their pockets, they won't show that.

I think we might score a couple goals tonight.

4-2 Oil McDavid in on all 4 goals.

Stewart vs Hathaway
Stajan vs Glass

Which combination puts Curtis Lazar in a position to succeed?

This isn't about getting a Morgan Klimchuk into the lineup for a plug. It's about getting somewhat competent players out of the lineup for plugs.

Shore and Foo shoild be in the lineup.

Stewart scored our only goal in the last eight periods and our response is to pressbox him for Tanner Glass and Garnet Hathaway.

It's his sort of nightly incompetence that, meaningless game or not, us Fans are being subjected to.

Yes and no.

What are you going to learn from throwing rookies into an understrength roster under a coach who doesnt know how to shelter them, doesnt care and likely wont be here next year?

I understand what you're saying, but theres limits to the effectiveness of what you learn at these points.

Do you think they dont know its meaningless? That their linemates arent giving 100% and effectively selling them out.

If you're Kylington do you think whoever your linemate is that hes going to help you out if you make a mistake as opposed to phoning in the end of the season?

Who are you impressing? The coach? Hes a dead man walking. Who cares? He doesnt.

Frankly, I'd let the guys collecting NHL cheques go down with this ship.
