Big win, but can’t take the foot of the pedal now. Even bigger game against Dallas on tuesday and then probably a pissed off Colorado the night after. Good to see Frolik and Backlund get off the schnide. When this entire line is playing confident, they make us so much harder to beat.

Nah. If LA wins tonight we're back out.

Considering their opposition, there's a pretty good chance.

They did exactly what they were supposed to and but for a 3 minute stretch choked the Avs out. It was an impressive way to win for a team that struggles with 60 min efforts especially against weaker teams.

What more could Gillies have done besides that fluke goal he let in?

Gillies doesn't let in many goals but when he does they're bad.

But seriously great game from him. These two games from him should put any rumours to rest of Treliving acquiring another goalie by Monday.

Oops over looked them. Well then LA is just going to have to lose today.

Quite a funny post, I had a few chuckles. When the team scored 5 goals, FIVE, it's not because the team played well, it's because the other team's goalie an AHL-calibre goalie. And then, when the team's goalie had a .966 save percentage, that's just adequate. WOW, I guess the goalie has to have shutout every game for him then.

Tkachuk with 7 goals in his last 9 games and 4 goals / 4 assists in the midst of a 6 game point streak.

Don’t even disagree with this. Flames have played considerably better games and Varlamov wasn’t at his best. Zadarov pretty much cost his team a couple goals by himself and if the Avs dangerous PP had connected which it was close, the game could’ve been different. But I’ll give credit where credit is due, the team choked out that 3rd period to perfection.
