Yep. Shouldn't even be let on the plane out of Edmonton. Also, someone should steal all his shoes.

And yes I do think Bennett would be a better option at any position than Wideman.
Wideman hardly plays on OT. They usually use two defensemen Gio-Brodie, Russell-Hamilton to go along one forward Gaudreau, Monahan and Backlund rotations. I didn't think I saw Wideman on OT tonight.

Bennett will get his chance eventually someday.

Wideman played most of the OT PP.

Bennett was on the ice for OT. Switched after Backlund

On the plus side I actually thought Backlund played pretty well.

It's worked ever since Wideman signed with the Flames. I've said it before: Wideman is the PPQB this team has desperately needed ever since Phaneuf left. He's the only guy with a bomb from the point. But this season he's lost his offensive prowess. Used to be one of the best at getting his shots through. Now it's in the D's shinpads and a rush for the opposition up the ice every time. For whatever reason, he's lost his mojo and IMO that's why the Flames PP is as horrible as it is.

Feels Nogoodman

Tough one. Flames weren't intense enough outside of the 1st and the lack of execution on the power play is hurting us. The top line looked dangerous a lot of the time, I liked them overall. 2nd line was solid too. 3rd line was meh for me. Raymond brings nothing, Granlund isn't a difference maker right now, Jones looked dece though. 4th line was fine.

Talbot won them the game. The Oilers were pretty bad.

Mony looks like a guy that doesn't believe he can score right now.

Of the last 9 Jack Adam trophy winners, 5 have been fired.

2005-06: Lindy Ruff
2006-07: Alain Vigneault
2007-08: Bruce Boudreau
2008-09: Claude Julien
2009-10: Dave Tippett
2010-11: Dan Bylsma
2011-12: Ken Hitchcock
2012-13: Paul MacLean
2013-14: Patrick Roy

The Jack Adams isn't about who is the best coach. Usually it goes to whomever does the best turd polish.

Hated seeing Wideman on the OT PP. Doesnt skate or read the play, with the more open ice, as well as either 7 or 27 do.

After watch the Cards-Packers game, tuning into this one was very disappointing.

Flames should have won a laugher tonight with all the PP opportunities. They under performed but still take a point with them. Could be worse.

Particularly considering how, other than Talbot, Brodie was the best player on the ice for either team - absent that one giveaway behind the net.

No question about it. Should have been up by 3 after one.

I don't care what the shots were, the Oilers had nothing from the slot, just a bunch of outside shots.

If not for Talbot, it would have been an easy win.

(but that doesn't negate the fact that the Flames were pretty bad in the final 40)

Agreed on that point. But I know why they put him out there, because he has the best one time slap shot on the entire defense. Unfortunately this year it hasn't materialized into goals.

So I can see why you might put him in and I can see why you might not. Overall I do think Hamilton is underused on the power play. He has a great combination of a nice wrist shot, excellent mobility, good instincts for jumping in and solid passing. Should be one of our top options.

That doesn't mean much. The award is for one season, and coaches are hired to be fired. Hartley will be fired at some point too

Agreed. Jooris was a puck tracking hound as well.
