Bieksa - No. He deserved an instigator but since he wasn't given one its doubtful he gets suspended.

Burrows - Yes. The rule is clear and there's nothing to suggest it should be rescinded like there was with Engelland.

Hamhuis - Yes. Clear shot to the head. Likely only get one game though.

I posted in another thread, but compare Bieska here to Engelland fighting 2 guys in Game 2. Bieska looks like he's had a mental breakdown. Engelland doesn't even look like he's worked up at all. Just doing his job.

Lets hope it continues. If Bieska makes some Dumb-Dumb level quotes, then the Flames are on the verge of mentally destroying the Canucks in only 3 games!

The Hamhuis hit is textbook what the league is trying to eradicate, plus it was on a rising young star. I think he gets a game.

They'll wash the instigator but the fine will stand.

People were saying Hamhuis is a great guy and thats why he was deputized in the last game.
He deserves a game for that.

Hamhuis will get 1 or 2... I think nobody else goes but it wouldn't surprise me if Burrows got 1 as it truly was an instigator - I don't expect it though, the league probably doesn't mind the series staying heated and won't diffuse it fully.

Bieksa should have got a game but won't and it's honestly probably the best thing. Bieksa is playing like dog crap, we don't want him off the ice, he's the worst defenceman on either team.

Burrows - Yes, for sure.
Bieksa - No, were better off having him on the team anyways.
Hamhuis - Questionable, NHL Safety will look at it as it is a check to the head.

The elbow to Bennett's face after he scored is suspendable. clearly deliberate given the circumstances and how riled up the Canucks were.

Honestly, after rescinding Engelland's game misconduct, and rightfully so, I fully expect the NHL to do the same for Burrowes despite that rule being straight from the book...

The sequence I would like the league to review is that Hamhuis hit on Bennett... That could so easily have caused a serious concussion. Hamhuis made zero effort to even look at the puck. That was a garbage play.

Burrows should, unless the league tries some kind of bull#### "fairness" angle to rescind that instigator. As Loubardias noted after the game - if you are just going to rescind every instigator, why even have the rule?

Hamhuis won't. Bad hit, but the league will probably review and do nothing. Bieksa won't. Cheap play, but no injury, and Ferland has been a bit of a dick himself this series, so they'll just let that slide.

Yeah but that gif didn't show Ferland's reaction. He popped out and started going nuts.

I think that Bieksa knows that Ferland is going to line him up the next game.

If you're going to jump someone like a coward, well its the old saying, you'd better make sure that what you do puts him down for good, because frankly Bieksa took his best shot and Ferland got up. My advice to the Canucks.

Burrows is a clear instigator. If you rescind it, then why have the rule in the first place? No one else gets a suspension.

It would be nice to see one of Bieksa or Burrows suspended, but I would much rather see one or both knocked out.

Hopefully it gets to that point.

The NHL isn't going to suspend anyone in the playoffs unless they murder someone.

Mentally prepare yourself for it now.
