4 teams in 4 years. Glad for him and his family they got term.

Never thought I'd see him bounce around like this.

Glad to see Iggy back in the west. Now I can watch more games with him in it.

I keep trying to picture Iggy in an Avs uniform and he looks stupid each and every time. Oh well, hope he gets a cup if he's going to look silly.

Good value for Colorado on a perfect fit player for their lineup.

Iggy gets 3 cracks at a cup with a very good up and coming team.

Hard not to see the win/win here.

I really hope Iggy gets a cup, but it would mean another for Roy…I'm torn.

Can say that I'm officially off the "whoever Iggy plays for is my 2nd favourite team" bandwagon. Don't hate Colorado, but I'm over the "really want to see Iggy win" phase.

I don't like Colorado, but if you were to sign with a team for 3 years to end your career potentially they would have to be one of the few teams that look really good.

A large core of elite young players who are only going to get better and better? Probably a safe bet compared to other teams.

I can bring myself to cheer for the Avs if it comes to it. Yeah, I'm okay with this.

Iginla returns to Calgary at 40. Flames take the cup and young captain Bennett hands off Stanley to the ex captain.

if hes all about the cup ya, he's made a ton of money

with this term too it doesn't leave many years after this either, I wonder if a 1 year deal would have been better, next year a lot more teams will have cap space with the rogers deal coming in, cap should go up 5-7m

Why do they keep bringing up Boston on The Fan? The Bruins didn't have the money to sign him.

What a pointless discussion.

Iginla isn't really a 'take a discount' guy

Colorado is a good team and all, but the Kings and Blackhawks are at least a full level ahead of everyone out West, and you can argue St. Louis and Anaheim are still ahead of Colorado. So this was about the money more than anything.

Yea I was just looking at the young group`s production from last year..

Duchene - 22 years old - 23 G 47 A 70 P
Landeskog - 20 years old - 26 G 39 A 65 P
O`Reilly - 22 years old - 28 G 36 A 64 P
MacKinnon - 18 years old (Rookie) - 24 G 39 A 63 P

Pretty impressive from such a young group of players. Now you add in a few veterans with Iginla (30 goals last year) Briere (lost a step in Montreal, but they removed a troublesome player to get him so that is part of his contribution) and a possibly healthy Tanguay (had 11 points in 16 games before going down last year) and this is probably your best 3 year bet if you still want to get paid.

Other teams are better, but not many could afford to pay him that amount. Hopefully he gets his cake and can eat it to.

Good term, looks like right amount and to a up and coming team poised to make a push for the cup. Like the signing.
