Good game and what I expected.
As for the refs? The Ferland penalty I did not like! Sure he deserved it, then a canuck crosschecked a flame. Should of evened things up, then he dropped his gloves. Worst it should of been even if not a powerplay for the Flames!
Beyond that I have no ref issues. High stick on Backlund? Regular season penalty, not playoffs.
1-1 tie going into the third period I will take it!
P.S. Raymond still sucks lol! Glorious opportunity to become a hero and doesn't even get a shot on net! I miss Paul Byron lol!

Pretty subdued reaction from that Boston Pizza crowd.
Good news? The third period is coming up, one in which the Flames have shined all season long. I don't expect they will allow Vancouver to keep coming at them like they did in portions of the 2nd. They will be fired up, as always, and take it to the Nucks in the next 20. They will rally around Hiller's performance and come out with some intense passion.
Go get 'em, Flames.

Do. Not. Panic. Come on you guys. This is the BEST Vancouver can do when they're on the line? Score one goal?
All we have to do is keep playing our game, get back on the forecheck. Troll them 'Nucks. Shotgun a couple Pilsners. And we got the series.

Flames need to play to win, not not to lose. Apologies for the double negative.

Am I the only one who liked Schlemko with Brodie over Engelland?

Ok boys, this is it!
You've played hard all season and it was unbelievable how you have gotten us this far. No one thought you would make the play-offs and let alone have this position over a team in the 1st round.
1 period.
That's it, that's all.
Push hard, shoot from everywhere and anywhere, give 'em Hell!
GO FLAMES GO!

Nothing wrong with the way we've been playing. Hiller sees most of the shots and the twins and the rest of the Nucks have been kept to the outisde for most of the game.

Reading the stat sheet and twitter, you'd swear it was a junior team out there.
My eyes tell me the Canucks are certainly outplaying the Flames, but the Flames are getting their chances and defending pretty well. Turnover ate hurting a tad.
The forwards also need to support the transition better. Too many times they were lined up at the offensive blueline . The gaps on the breakout are the size of the grand canyon.

Flames just need their killer instinct to match the Nucks desperation.
Going to the 3rd tied in an elimination game is pretty good. Lets finish this!

Thats a funny coincident. I see a Macaroni Penguin.
For thos that dont see the difference a Macaroni Penguin is 6 to 8" bigger and 5 pounds heavier. Rockhoppers ar the smallest yellow crested black and white penguins.
