For the 40% discount at Banana Republic, do you need to print that coupon and bring it in?

Yes, I think it's safe to assume you will need to show the coupon to get the discount. You can print the coupon here: http://bananarepublic.m.delivery.net...H&sc=&k=1inos*

Canadian Tire has an un-advertized special on right now. Spend $50 and get a $10 gift card.
Link
Unlike the promotion a few weeks ago where you had to use the card that week; this gift card has no expiry date.

Yum, nothing better than Golden Inn at 2:00am... I am usually black out drunk at that point so I only remember my visit there by the copious amounts of leftovers on my counter and soy sauce stains on my shirt.

I recommend going to Bellflower at the Calgary Underground Film Festival. It rocked Sundance and SXSW and I hear it's absolutely amazing.

This is a borderline ######ed deal in Montana.

Another plug for Golden Inn. My favourite Chinese restaurant by far.
Question- is there a coupon to download; or do you just automatically get it off your bill? [Edit- Nevermind; maybe I should read further.]
Random story from there. A buddy (who is Asian) and I used to go there a lot; at least 2-3 times per month. At one point another friend joined us. This other friend; who is Asian was born in Canada- and for some reason never learned to use chopsticks. So we are sitting there; they give us our place settings and we all get chopsticks. My buddy says to me "Ken, you gotta ask for a fork. You can get away with asking because you are white."
I said no at first, but to get him off my back I finally gave in. When I asked the waiter for a fork and knife; his reply to me was "NO. You no need fork- I see you with chopsticks; you OK with chopsticks." I'm not sure if he had overheard our conversation; or not- but it was pretty funny.

It sounds like they are giving customers a hard time if they try to use the coupon. Check out the reviews on Urbanspoon (sort by Most Recent). they are actually turning away customers unless they don't use the coupon.
Have you ever heard of something like this?

Wow! Thanks for all the nice compliments about the restaurant! I told my parents about this thread and they were very happy to see all the support.
Thanks CP!

Yes, this was brought to my attention last night after a couple readers posted some comments about it in this post: http://www.calgarydealsblog.com/2011...-japanese.html
Yamato decided to make up a new rule and only accept a maximum of 5 vouchers per day. This is pretty silly considering they sold over 5,000 vouchers which would mean it could take someone up to 3 years to use their voucher.
Yamato does not have the right to do this because it was not stipulated in the Fine Print or agreement with DealFind. I notified a couple VP's at DealFind and they are looking into the issue. I'll give you guys an update when they resolve the issue.
Shame on Yamato for doing this.

^ I wonder if he just came up with it on the spot to turn away some really unruly drunks? I was in there with my buddy's band after their show and I thought some of the patrons already dining were far far too smashed to be anywhere. Yelling and singing and stuff.
