He stirred the pot and I enjoyed looking at some of the banter. Frankly we all need to learn to live in the world and try and get along. The guy was a classic homer for his side. It's an internet forum at the end of the day, not like he is blasting anybody from inside their house.
Actually, it kind of is.
The forum is like a big house party. Specifically Bingo's party. Bingo is kind enough to let a bunch of strangers come and join his party, no line, no cover. Some pretty basic rules to follow which essentially boil down to "don't be a prick". If you go around to each little group at the party and start saying things just to be an annoyance or to purposely offend people, people are going to tell the party thrower that this guy needs to leave. If the bouncers don't want to boot you, then people will just start shutting you out until you leave by yourself. If you don't, and just keep poking at people, eventually you're going to hit a nerve that will result in everyone at the party telling you to leave. You can't roll into a party and start flinging crap at everyone and then cry foul when people tell you to GTFO.
This isn't a public street. Yoho (or anyone) can go out to the sidewalk and scream about whatever they want to no one.

Sure there are very basic rules including a rule encouraging posters to engage in discussing the topic and not specific contributors. Yet here we are in a thread with 30+ pages specifically dedicated to discussing and calling out one poster. Rules be damned.

I agree, like I mentioned a few pages ago this whole thing should be locked.

Others will disagree but I don't think Yoho's posting of conspiracy theories, Qanon BS, tweets without context, etc was ban worthy.
Some said to ignore him, but again, I've always said that responding and disproving wasn't to feed the troll, or change his mind but to ensure others didn't fall into the same trap. Again, not ban worthy.
Then I saw Yoho was banned. So I clicked their profile, checked out recent posts to see why they were banned.
Yikes.
There's being brainwashed in the Qanon cult, there's trolling, then there's the personal attacks on other posters that crossed not only the line, but several lines.
1000% ban worthy.
While there was lots of criticism of the mods regarding Yoho, to the mods: you handled them exactly how I would have.
Kudos.
Being consistent and impartial can be difficult and I think you all did a great job.
