Scary. 13 per for a guy who has had *1* good season in the last 7 years.

Lest we forget this was a guy the cubs demoted from their closer role last season too.

I know Dempster has always had potential, but he was never the same after his injury in FLA. But I guess 13 is just a drop in the bucket for a market like Chicago.

Yankees were in a similiar position during the Great Depression. As other teams struggled to survive. They went ahead with business as usual.
