I like Mike Richards and still listen, I just found that the show got a little worse when Doug Kirkwood showed up, I find he just always tries to be funny like Mike, but just ends up being annoying and obnoxious.

I like Mike Richards alot and I never miss the show. i listen every day driving from st. albert to downtown greaserville...and my fave bit is the guy who laughs a gut out about some fate that befell the oilies. i laugh at that every time.

sure, you hear repeats, especially if you listen every day for 3 hours.

personally, i love all of his song remakes...

"ziggy was a cat from japan...who could lick his own shoulder..." classic. and "craig conroy" and the engelbert song. love them all.

i actually find that jenna, since she started the herbal weight loss program...well...it is like her voice changed!

i like peter in the morning as well...and i like the interviews. i wish that they wouldn't be only 10 minutes long though. and 20/20 sports updates are like 20 commercials.

oh yah. and the fitstart stuff. enough.

overall...some of the stuff isn't for me but i never miss the show...and i live in greasieville! (flames fan though!)

Kirkwood is like the Milhouse to Richards' Bart ... except Milhouse is actually cooler than Kirkwood is. Kirkwood would be ... that kid on the Simpsons who always looks like he is sick.

I love Richards. The fake phone calls cause snorting and watery eyes on the way to work. Maher in the Mornings is my favorite segment.

It's Jim Rome that drives me crazy. He's speaks like Captain Kirk with an adenoid condition. I've heard that he's an aquired taste, but personally, it's kinda like choking down split pea soup.

Overall, the Fan does a fabulous job and I've learned to take my lunch break after 1pm so I only ever have to change the station when all I get is static.

I'm with the group that does not mind him too much. Sure,some of the skits are overkill, but every once in a while he comes up with a golden gem of a skit.

Mainly, I wish he were not so obnoxious at times. He can be funny, but he can also be an über pig at times!

Rome is a little full of himself but I'm a big fan. He does some of the best interviews in sports. The only problem I have with the Jim Rome show is that there are way too many commercials.

The interviews are good, but it's the dead air and the "clones" I can't stand.

Can't stand doug Kirkwood that much... He needs to tone down the sound bites... And yes he's not that funny.

I love his show...he has me open-mouth laughing all the way to work every morning. Be aware, though, you can't listen for more than 40 minutes or so, because they do loop the same jokes and skits from the first hour in the 8 o'clock hour. I can't actually start my day until I hear Peter at 8:10...

I agree we are fortunate to have Richards, lately I usually just listen from 8am to 9am and that's usually enough, his shtick is getting a bit old. The thing with people like Richards is they need a good supporting cast Jim Rome although he's by himself has the "clones" they make and carry the show, CJAY's okay Forbes has his "friends" can you imagine that guy alone it would be terrible. Richards used to have Paul Romanuk in Toronto when he was on the Team. Romanuk was a great back up and quite funny. Richards just hasn't found that person since he's moved to Calgary. Kevin Usselman was an absolute joke, Doug is a slug and that Jenna is a waste of a lot of space. Richards carries that show on his back for the most part, it is what it is I guess. We're lucky that we have Peter Maher atleast!

amen brother. i for one don't know how that guy is still on the air. he was mildly annoying at first, then he kind of grew on me. kind of funny. then he started getting more contracts (tv and more stations picking up his show) and he became insufferable. his schtick got really stale but he is too full of himself to see that he doesn't have the appeal he once had. his popularity was at its height in the mid to late 90's MAYBE the early 2000/2001 -- its been down hill since then.

I really don't have any complaints about the station or Richards. And they can never have enough hockey.

Baao Chica Waa Waa is really freaking annoying.

I really do miss Joe. He seemed to have a real local connection and the immediate respect of anyone he talked to. Kerr and him had great chemistry which made for great listening. The afternoon show hasn't been able to recapture that and I really haven't listened like I used in a long time.

I don't really have a chance to listen to the morning show anymore.
