Wow, the game is AWESOME. It actually feels like a real game of hockey now. Everything that bugged me in 07 has been fixed.

I can't wait for the release so I can hit the ice with the Sabres and Flames (and QC Flames and Americans!).

Turned on my friends 360 today and got the red ring.......turns out was cable not plugged in right

Scared the hell outa me!

Couldnt get it to log in cause of DNS or something, i was confused

The game looks great and plays great. I played around a bit and even in this one period if you try to do something over and over again the CPU tries to shut that play down. For example, as I was playing I decided to have all my rushes go up the RW side and by the last few minutes of the period the CPU had adjusted and made it much harder to do so. Not perfect but certainly a lot better than the past in any hockey game. Player positioning is some of the best I've ever seen as well.

My one complaint and perhaps I missed something but if I was the Ducks and heading down the screen the shoot was reversed. I had to press up to wind up and down to shoot instead of the way it should have been.

This is changeable in the full game, but it is programmed to always press towards the net that you are shooting at.

Figured it would be. Can't imagine why people would choose to change the mechanics of shooting every period (if doing alternating sides).

I read somewhere that EA has all the jersey's in the game already, but can't release screens of them until the team has their official unveiling, so yes, they should all be in there. If they aren't, EA can have updates to take care of it.

Nothing is worse than having an online opponent play keep away for the last 5 minutes... its impossible to friggin get the puck. Hope this is fixed in 08. Most aggravating thing EVER.

All jersey's will be in the game as they are released. There will be a code to get the AHL jersey's.

Reviews on the Run just did a head to head with 2K8. Graphics to EA, said best looking sports game ever. Audio was a tie (2K8 had Cam & Neeley? ) Gameplay went to 2K8 slightly with more modes. But overall went to NHL 08. Metacritic only has 3 reviews so far... http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...l08?q=nhl%2008

I dont understand how gameplay is considered how many modes it has. It should be how well the game actually plays, that is gameplay.

Yeah, true. I think they are using the term more broadly. The only thing I did hear about gameplay was how easy it was to score in both games.
