If the Flames magically make it in, want to see Edmonton burn
If the Flames don't make it, I want Oilers to make it to Stanley Cup Final, Game 7, OT, and lose. In glorious fashion. Maximum pain
Don't even talk like that. We want to Oilers out early, often and as brutally as possible.
Do you really want to listen to Ron and the SN crew grease their pole for an entire playoff season, and then crown them the "true" champs when they lose in OT?
When you have the chance to kill something unholy, you drive the wooden stake in its heart right there and then. You don't let it chase you around all night and hope to lure it into a sunbeam at dawn.
Get that team gone ASAP.

Kings in 5. Oilers are too old to put up a fight this year, not to mention their injuries. LA also got back on the tracks after the PLD trade nearly derailed their rebuild.
I woke up with a truly odd feeling. I suddenly felt a deep love and appreciation for Marcel Dionne, Luc Robitaille, Jonathan Quick, Anze Kopitar, and Drew Doughty. I felt an urge for overpriced avocado toast and oatmilk lattes. I called my doctor to get a prescription for Ozempic and to set up my Botox appointment. I drove one block to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy, even though my legs work perfectly fine.
I think...I just became an L.A. Kings fan. It's just the oddest thing. I can't explain why.

I'm surprised I haven't bought a Kings jersey already. I bought a Stars jersey in the 90s when the Stars beat the Oilers 14853 years in a row in round one.
Okay, the Kings haven't one a series yet, but they play them enough.
This might be the year LA beats the No goods. Although three straight playoff series loses doesn't really instill confidence. And each year it's been worse.
Ekholm out could be the x factor.
Kings are a better team now and the Oilers are worse
The Oilers got rid of most of the good defensive players who gave them their incredible PK in last year’s playoffs, and replaced them with old, washed-up offensive players who can’t even score now. They got rid of Holloway and Broberg, their only two young players, and squandered most of the proceeds for one game of Trent Frederic. Ekholm, their one good defensive defenceman, is out for the duration, and they’ve annoyed the officials by turning last night’s game into a goon show.
I expect the Oilers to fold like a cheap umbrella in a Lethbridge windstorm.

This seems to be the Kings best opportunity out of the last 4 years to take out the Oilers. I'm hoping we see Byfield emerge and the Oilers start to decline as they begin to age out. Would be glorious to see them fold like a cheap tent as well (fingers crossed).

I don't disagree with you. It'll play w my emotions too to have them so close. But to see all their practically die when they lost last year after getting to Game 7, their emotional wrecking and pain was my summer tonic leading into this season.
