I know it's fashionable to rip on the Edmonton Oilers franchise for being no good, but this special ceremony for new immigrants before the game is definitely good. I'm getting some warm fuzzies inside, and it's not just due to the scotch.
I'm proud to be Canadian when I see things like this.
Yeah, I know, but I'm not going to crap on them for continuing what is clearly a great idea. I wish every team did this. Some things should go beyond what team you like.

Their management group is so vengeful of the Flames that I bet once we overtook them they changed their priority list to;
1. Overtake the Flames at all costs
2. Get ready and rested for playoffs
It does seem to be crazy that they wouldn't give there backup a night against a team that has lost 5 and is playing the back up.
I know there will be numerous conversations about Flames Vs Oilers, but I am happy the Flames are getting balanced scoring and contributions from everybody. When the playoffs start and everyone starts focusing on McDavid, and Talbot is exhausted from playing the most in the league, I can't see it going well for them.

Well I was only half joking about their insane management. It actually wouldn't surprise me one bit if they had intentions of starting to give Talbot some breaks, specifically a game like tonight, but just said "No, no, no. Not right now, we can't fall back from the Flames, keep playing him for now".
a little far fetched. They are 7 points up on the Rangers; in fact with a win tonight, the Caps will be the first team to clinch a playoff spot
I agree that it was a little far fetched, but, the Capitals have been in a small slump. The win changes that now. They could fall to third place in their division as they are only three points up on the Penguins.

Wow, Vancouver looks like they're actually putting in an effort tonight. I'm amazed. Keep it up, Nucks!
The Canucks have been balls-to-the-wall in every game they have played this year. If they weren't the hardest working team in the NHL they would finish dead last.
