Honestly, it's because you forget to take one sometimes. Studies show this clearly. Pharmacy counts are off very rarely

How much do you want to bet that if you marked the day you start the pills, you will probably be out later than you should have

Walmart Greeter

- no pressure
- no sales quotas
- no one is going to chew you out for not greeting properly
- don't have to keep upgrading your greeting skills
- you could show up for work in your pajamas as long as you have a blue vest over top of them
- you don't have to stay late to catch up on your greeting
- when you go on holidays there isn't a pile of greeting for you when you get back

I could go on but I have to get ready for my non-dream job.

I'm an engineer who just left a multidisciplinary firm that worked with architects all the time. Now I oversee water treatment plants for the government. I like my work, but my dream job would to be a research engineer tinkering with sustainable technologies. That dream is not dead.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a cop, but now I couldn't imagine a worse job. Who wants to babysit drunks and get spit on everyday?

I never really aspired to a certain career . I always just worked small contract jobs in between trips. Once I had to start working full time. I disliked what I was doing (Environmental Consultant).

So I quit and started doing what I was naturally good at - being creative. In July my company will be 4 years old and I truly enjoy what I am doing. I get to dream of things to build every day, how to build them and then get to build them.

Perhaps without thinking of it directly maybe I am doing my dream job? I dunno I just go with it.

Next phase - coming up with fun things for Calgary...

Video game designer. I am not too happy with where I am at right now and I am thinking of going back to school for Graphic Design.

As a kid, NHL player, MLB player and figher jockey. Just like every other Canadian boy. Multi-tasking.

As a younger guy, Pulitzer Prize winning news photographer and mega-selling author. Dare to dream.

As an older guy . . . . . I'm doing alright. Highly paid, decent, flexible hours and volunteering lots in a creative way. Not really aspiring to anything different at the moment. Not sure if that means I'm in my dream job but I'm not pining for something else.

Life cycle.

Childhood and early teens: paleontologist.
Early teens onward: writer/novelist.

I'm pretty happy that I've been able to achieve that second one, though would certainly like to have more success at it. Right now I'm nearing the end of a stay-at-home-dad phase in my life and have been starting to think about what I want to do with the next phase of my life (and I'm reluctant to go back to the sort of office desk job I had previously). This thread is a good reminder to me that I'm already well on my way to living my dream job, I just need to dedicate myself to it more than I have in the past.
