More then ever now I was a spin off show with Roy and Jamie.
Ted decides he has to go home to be with his son so Roy takes over head coach. Jamie learns under Roy and becomes a star.

Pleasantly surprised by Colin and Trent's story development this episode.
YAY, I was wrong.
Good episode, but the Rebecca in the boat dragged. I will say the Dutch character had the right amount of Dutch oddities.....weird folks at times.
How ####ing good is Roy as a character. The character and delivery by the actor is exceptional. The ####ing post match interview was a season highlight.
I am also happy to see that Jamie doesn't appear to be jumping ship......yet.

Looks like they are building for the team to start trending back up with the combination of Jamie's continual personal growth and strict training regimen, the rest of the team having a huge bonding moment and also Ted having an "aha" moment as far developing a playing strategy for the team to move forward with that they haven't tried yet.
Of course with this show there is always a few steps forward followed by a step or two backwards, so I'm sure it won't all be smooth sailing from here.

Jamie teaching Roy how to ride a bike is the single greatest scene in the entire series. I got into a coughing fit from laughing too hard the first time Roy went down

Just started Season 3 so my partner could catch up. The first two were not as good as expected, but it has been solid since then.
Why was Roy and Keely’s breakup done off screen?
Could a newly promoted team really rise to the top that easily?
Loved the Amsterdam show, having been there a few times to see relatives. The house boat captain is very Dutch!
Isn’t Jack also a lesbian character on For All Mankind?
Why would Jade suddenly like Nate because his date dumped him?
I said it before - like Schitts Creek, this show is secondarily a comedy, and primarily a show about the growth in people.
He finally tried being a little vulnerable and not a horrific ######. I notice Brett Goldstein (Roy), who also writes for Shrinking did the same sort of thing with a minor character who's blowing a date by trying too hard.

I had a hard time with that episode. Amsterdam is a place I've always wanted to go to. My wife and I had plans to celebrate our 10th anniversary there, riding bikes everywhere (this is my dream life). But covid and more specifically long covid has ended that dream, so watching Jamie and Roy with the bikes and riding out to see a windmill was a gut punch.

I was only able to spend 36 hours in Amsterdam due to a flight cancellation, but I certainly want to go back and see the museums, etc. It was so beautiful there and the little we were able to do in the time we had was awesome.
Also when I went to Europe for the battlefield tour of my Dad's regiment in WWII, we spent 3 days in Gronigen - also a very pretty city!
The Netherlands are spectacular. We felt like trolls walking among the locals though.

I love Heineken.
We had Dutch Signals attached to us and they got it free, in ridiculous amounts. So they would throw monster BBQ and a free piss up every so often
God Love the Green Grenades
