I think PP and Byrne are done now. Hopefully it closes the door on politicians and strategists like them for a while.

It looks like there have been about 12M votes counted so far. There were 7.3M advance votes cast. In the last election there was 17M votes cast so there is likely still a lot of votes to count.

Agreed. The whole "owning the libs" or "owning the cons" thing gets us nowhere. A lot of that is on the leaders, but a lot of that is at the street level too.
Unless you talk specifics about politics to everyone you know, there is a good chance that you have friends on both side and don't even know it.

Or we could move to a system of voting that actually represents all voters. I know, crazy talk.
Not picking on you. I just hate this argument when FPtP is the issue.

You live in Canada not a 3rd world country. Not sure what suffering people have had for the last 10 years. Things could be worse much worse.

The vote count should keep the libs on their toes even if they win a majority. I think it appears that the general voter sentiments is things will change drastically if things don't go well for the governing party.

I’ve been watching CTV and most of their panel I’d like to see have a role in politics. Specifically Tom Mulcair, James Moore, and Harjit Sajjan. Christy Clark has been mostly good too, her side eye at Ambrose has made me laugh a few times. Rosa has seemed bitter and angry nearly every time they talk. Mulcair is just pragmatic when he speaks.
I really like Moore’s comments: in his mind the next two years are about fighting the threat from down south and the parties need to come together to fight that and show a united front. The time for party politics is after that threat is dealt with and can be later in the 4 year cycle. I would love this guy to have a seat at the cons table to get that message across. I noticed while he was saying this Ambrose seemed to be not paying attention and possibly on her phone. We need the parties to be conciliatory, not adversarial or bitter.
