Agreed. He let in a questionable goal but big deal. I blame the crowd. Seriously.

I guess, well, at least the reasonable CPers aren't being ridiculous.

I don't understand why Toews isn't out there for defensive zone faceoffs instead of Bergerwrong - at least Toews won't run around like a knob if he loses the draw

Iggy had a good game, he hit, he made plays, he had shots on net, unlike his linemates. He ran great interference to let Crosby get to the puck and then Crosby coughs it up! I couldn't believe that one.

That first goal was super weak. If he stopped that they're not even in that position. That's the extent of Luongo's blame.

He's not the only one. The second goal and the extended pressure at the end was the fault of the defensive coverage.

That's the thing though. They have to be better then the rest of the forwards on the team as they are looked upon at creating offense. Crosby in particular needs to really step it up.

Crosby looks like a guy that is very nervous, off his game.

Yes I'm a closet Canucks fan that comes here posing as a Flames fan. Actually as preposterous as that sounds some Canucks fans have done just that here.

These Olympics have really brought up my respect for Marleau. I like his game, he seems to have no problem playing physical and he has some wicked hands and smarts.

If Sutter can swing him in the offseason, I would be very happy (which I really didn't think he was all that great before)

I thought Slovakia played well.. good trap, Canada didn't look as dangerous as they did in previous games.

nice excuses for Greaser. He was lucky he didn't flat out blow this. None of 2 goals the Slovaks scored were 2-1 he had a legitimate chance on both of them. 3-0 with 4 min left and suddenly its 3-2. Both regular strength.
Take your LOUUUU colored glasses off. He has to be better vs the USA.
The way this game ended was near disaster.

Are they? I thought the head coach said they didn't need any goal scoring out of Iginla.

I was frickin amazed by his play! How does he just stand there, turning in circles as if he doesn't know what to do? Next time he just gets in everybody's way...........holy crap.

I thought Iginla had a pretty good game. He had a handful of very good scoring chances and just couldn't hit the net. If he gets as many chances on Sunday he will do something special.

Crosby looks like a young kid again on the ice with the pressure of a nation just being too much to bear. i was hoping that winning the Stanley Cup would have given him the nerves to handle this kind of pressure, but he just isn't able to rise above it

Luongo hasn't been lights out in any of the games he's played (cept for Norway, which was even hard to tell because of the opponent) but he's made the big stops when he's needed to.

He's let in one questionable/average goal in each game as I see it but that doesn't bug me because he's stepped up big at crucial times.

Also, Brodeur lost his spot fairly and I would be nervous to put him back in. Guy has everything a goaltender could win, but he's just getting on in age unfortunately.

Some CPers need to get off their attitudes and just cheer for our Team Canada goaltender.

Go Luongo Go!

I was very happy with Canada's game until the last 10 minutes. I thought the forwards were coming back perfectly. This game should have been a shutout, Canada as a team just let up.

Hey... I'm not saying I agree with it... but it HAS been asked before by other posters.
And like you said, trolls posing as a Flames fan to bash the Flames has happened before...

The end of the game was near disaster because Canada got owned in the 3rd period. They sat back and did a whole lot of nothing. They just stood in their own end and let Slovakia do whatever they wanted in front of the net. Luongo should have had that 1st goal and nobody will deny that. The 2nd goal was because of crappy defense as was the near game tying goal that Demitra got really late. The defense needs to be better on Sunday for Canada to win. Canada got casual in the 3rd thinking they could coast to a 3-0 win. I actually think they learned their lesson and you'll see a 60 minute performance on Sunday. Ryan Miller is USA's MVP if they win and if Canada wins I give it to Shea Weber. The guy is amazing.
