92 points won't miss the playoffs...there are more than 2 teams in the race

It is better than him going to the Oilers, but that is about it. I wish Iggy well, but hope LA misses the playoffs.

Sounds like they haven't watched him since his Bruins days.
The guy had 22 goals and 47 points last year. He's struggled this year but that team is terrible and he's always been a streaky scorer.

It would not surprised me if he went on a tear here playing with Kopitar and getting powerplay time. Kopitar should work better with him than Mackinnion as Kopitar is a cycle type player as opposed to Mackinnion who scores more off the rush.

Iggy could still hit 20 goals especially with how streaky he can be. He needs 11 in about 20 games.

Maybe Iginla will fit a bit better with the Kings. But I don't know if an older slower guy who isn't always committed to playing in his own end can fix what ails the Kings. But Iginla did do these things when he played for Sutter and the team was successful. At this point he has to be energized just getting out of Colorado.

But I suspect him and Sutter will both be sent out of town on garbage bag day in LA which will happen in mid April.

Leafs play a speed game vs the Kings who play a grinding, heavy game. Will be interesting to see how Iggy and the Kings fare in this environment. If they can impose this style, defensive lapses won't be as evident compared to a track meet type of game.

Does a "heavy game" beat a "speed game"? I would argue the Flames played a "hybrid style" against the Kings and it was close.

But it's the year Edmonton went NO GOOD by trading Gretzky to the Kings.

When I was a kid, I thought only super special players could get a number like 99, 88, 77, 66, etc. and the league gave them out like a knighthood.

You're not far wrong, Hack&Lube. Back in those days, The Hockey News did an article where they put together two All-Star teams: one made up entirely of players with double numbers, one without. Consensus was that the double-number team would handily beat the rest of the league. (Having both Gretzky and Lemieux on the team helped. So did having Bourque on D and Roy in goal.)
