If he does it'll just be a bonus.
And then he'll get hurt again.

Seemed like a concussion. Wonder what he actually hurt?

I'm no doctor but upper body, surgery, I'm going to guess his head was ripped off and they surgically reattached it. That or a shoulder thing, one of those two.

Separated shoulders can require surgery. Labrum tears as well.

Would a collar bone with surgery be about 6 months too? I think that it's most common to not have surgery for a broken collar bone, but it can happen in some cases.

The worst part of this for the poor kid is he misses the Olympics.
He would have been a big part of that team and that has to be crushing. You never know when you get that opportunity again.

Yeah- after looking at that hit in the video - it has to be shoulder/collarbone related. thats a standard recovery period for that injury. would be very surprised if he's back this season. probably will focus on getting ready for next training camp.

With the amount of the amount of development time he's missed at this point, it seems like it'll be a miracle if he every becomes an NHL regular.
Tough to see a young guy face that much adversity.
It's also tough to see as a flames because we desperately need good young players and a significant portion of our prospect/young player base sems to be injury prone.

This is the 4th season in a row where he's sustained a long term injury.
Nothing I said was inaccurate.

That's not at all what I said genius. I didn't say he sucked, I said he's hurt all the time.

What injury isn't bad luck?
Right now, his luck is horrible. Like Dach. Some players just can't escape it.
Some do (Backlund) but for others it might be too much. Hope its the former.

You certainly implied you're ready to write off the player.

I think it's key to avoid the monikers like glass etc for players that get injured often but in different areas.
Honzek had a hand issue at the WJC, then a concussion last year, and now a shoulder/collar bone issue.
If he had a shoulder that popped out every 30 games I'd see it as a bigger concern.

Wasn’t it a shoulder injury that took him out last year?

The Slovaks on the team can't catch a break. I was looking forward to seeing both Honzek and Pospisil represent their national team at the Olympics.
It doesn't seem as though it's related to any other injuries, so at least that's good.
Other freak/weird injuries this season:
Mews - season ending knee-on-knee
Stockselius - skate cut to the leg
Parekh - out week to week on a nothing play

On a positive note - no cooking or eating related injuries!
