Perhaps provincially too, but at least on the national level, we should follow the Swiss where they require a significant use of production/materials to come from that country for anything that uses the red/white cross flag and name in their branding. We're not quite at the same level as the Swiss when it comes to quality manufacturing, but the Canadian flag/maple leaf is is a fairly well known brand too, and we should look to protect and elevate it. I'm typically not for protectionism, but when you're a little country like us I think it's better to aim for quality, not mass production.

If I recall Toblerone isn't able to put the Matterhorn on their product anymore because of this.

I'm sure I heard that.
