Not so special in goal either, Roy should send Varlamov a blow up doll to take his frustration out on.

Jori Lehtera has a hat trick (1 SHG) playing with Tarasenko and Schwartz through 2 periods.

When I saw the Rangers/Pens score it got me thinking. I wonder what the record of teams are in the game after they lose to the Oilers? I would think the teams go out and win because the coach chewed them out so badly.

Then again, the teams could be so crushed they lost to them their morale is devastated and they lose again. I'm sure stats will prove me right, wrong, or indifferent.

Preds win.

Yak goes off late in the game, according to the radio he took a hit to make a play in the final minute and left the ice immediately with a possible hand or arm injury.

Oilers are 6-2-0 against the East.

0-7-1 against the West.

Time for the Strudwick post game show.

They actually didn't pay that badly. Shots were even. Goaltending is brutal and they are trying Eakins system of defense

Chris Johnston ‏@reporterchris
The #sabres are on pace to score 101 goals in an 82-game season.

And that pace includes 2 shootout winner 'goals'. Actually goals scored would be a 92 goal pace which is beyond embarrassing.

The record for fewest goals scored in a season is 133 by Chicago in 1953-54 in a 70 game season. The lowest goals per game in a season (post 1930s) is 1.84 by Tampa in 97-98. Buffalo is currently at 1.25 Goals per game.

The ending of the Dallas - Arizona game was awesome. Dallas comes back from 2-0, takes the lead with less than 5 minutes to play. Boedker ties it up a minute later, then Arizona gets a power play with about three minutes to play and DALLAS gets the shorty with a minute and a half left to win the game.

Strudwick, after ripping on the Oilers for a while, mentioned that Seabrook is going to get suspended for something he did tonight. Any idea what it was?

Right in front of the 'Hawk net...the Puck was high in the air, and took a long time to come down...TB's Johnson reached up with both hands...Seabrook X-checked the guy in his exposed ribs...was only a minor in the game, but, should get supplementary review...

No playoffs for Iggy this year...when you consider the record it would take to get to 94-98 points its just not gonna happen.

he made his bed

I'm not hearing too much talk about the Islanders, but they are much improved and look like they could make some serious noise in their final year at Nassau Coliseum.

Not enough data to draw any meaningful conclusions.

(unfortunately, this study is going to take years)
