Think you got scammed buddy.

It's not just the CP etiquette regarding jihads, there's something (a few things) about this post that don't make sense.

Actually there have been first time posters that have looked to spread education or garner support for noble causes that have gone well. So it's not just CPers wanting to be internet jerks.

Disagree. Upon given the opportunity, CPers enjoy it very much...and then will reference it for at least a few years.

No denying it, it's hilarious.

It seems to make you upset too, so added bonus there.

I am pretty sure it is just CPers being jerks.

Not sure about the "scam" comment, unless you're referring to the nutrient site itself, but the runner seems legitimate.

The only other thing is she hasn't been back since this post. Likely a one and done.

I thought there were more than four deserts. I'm sure my drive from Phoenix to L.A. went through one...

That's the thing: it's the equivalent of spam for forums. She's done the same thing on the running room forum, one self-serving post and out.

Bet she's actually in Nigeria.

CATHERINE DESLIPPE and her story gets my vote!

Quote:
We often equate struggling up a mountain side to some of the struggles and hurdles that we have faced in life and in health. Lorraine is going on her sixth year of being cancer free after battling stage 3 colon cancer and has to carry with her the scars and damage that cancer forced upon her. I continue to struggle with an anti – inflammatory condition that leaves joints aching and reeling in pain sometimes before or after a hike. None of which matters to us when we are working on achieving our goal which is hike, learn and explore the BC Mountains.
Quote:
We are not in any rush to get up the mountain or cross a trail we just want to be able to continue to do what we love to do. To Hike! We are both blessed to be able to work in the natural health industry and therefore have at our disposal an arsenal of options for helping us keep our health problems at arm’s length. We were excited at the notion that Genuine health was going to launch a pre and post sports line. As these two options have been key in enabling us to hike another trail or mountain each and every week

I apologize if I've offended anyone with my post. My friend suggested that I use this forum because it was a great way to connect with people in this city.

As for the four deserts remark, yes, you are correct, there are more than 4 deserts. I didn't mean to sound misleading. I was just referring to the series of runs called http://www.4deserts.com/,

For those who believe I am in Nigeria, this is an article from the Calgary Herald about the charity that I supported when I ran in Antarctica.

Again, my humble apologies to anyone who may have been offended by my posting.
Cheers,
Linh

Don't worry PolarRunner, theres a bunch of dicks on this board. Most of them come out of the woods when a first time poster asks for help with voting. You have a good cause, and I voted for you. Wish you all the best!

You have that right. You're only using this forum to garner votes. If you had any interest in connecting with people in this city, you would've signed up a while ago or take interest in some of the other threads with local topics instead of only pushing your own agenda.

I hope we have another wannamaker type Jihad and vote this Linh girl down.

Are we all voting for that chick with "vodka" in her name, CP?

Take off your act of indignation hat. Not everyone in the city of Calgary knows what Calgarypuck is, let alone its existence.
