Okay, this is just weird.
I remember the exact same thing happening in 2004. Conroy made some kind of a comment to the Canucks players on the way by.
A few hours later they won the series.

I'm pretty sure only regular season games count, as it is a regular season award. In fact, the year Belfour won it he had played a total of 32 games in the previous two seasons, but 9 of those were in the playoffs with the Hawks. Thus, he was under the 25 game limit and won the Calder in 91.

I think Vancouver will win this game, but the Flames will send the Canucks golfing in Game 6.

I predicted the Flames to win this series in 5 games so here's hoping I am right. Go Flames Go!

Bennett with 2. We end up winning 4-2. Series will be 4-1.

Right, but a plain clothes officer is just bait for arrests. A bad egg is going to be a bad egg but there will be people who make poor, likely intoxicated, decisions that will get punished for it that they probably wouldn't if there was cops. I would prefer that no, or at least less trouble occurs rather than catching a few who think they're unsupervised.

There really isn't the fever or support behind the Canucks that was apparent in their Cup run. The city really is apathetic towards them thus far.

Yes that is right.
He hadnt played 25 games before the beginning of the next season. If Bennet plays 24 games before the next regular season he would be eligible for next years award still as his 25th would be the first game he still starts the season under 25 games.
A playoff game still counts as overall nhl games played. If say the Flames played all 4 rounds and all were all 7 game series and he played all 28 games he would not quilify for the calder next year.

Even uniformed officers won't deter people.
