If the Flames put a qualifying offer on him he'd be a fool to not sign...
A: He's not going to get 660K from any Euro league, and
B: He'd be the most tenured goalie left in the system with Ramo and Hiller both being upcoming UFA's (so a good chance he makes the team even if just as a back-up).

Ortio's chances of playing in Calgary next year are the best they've ever been. Plus, he doesn't have the leverage to demand anything based on his play this year. If Calgary wants him, they'll keep him.
If Ortio demands a trade, he's shooting himself in the foot. He's not a highly desirable goalie; he passed through waivers no problem.

I think Hartley would rather play Mason Raymond in net than go with Ortio. TBQH I think the only way Ortio comes back is if Hartley is gone.

With all this talk about thebOilers trading Nuge or Eberle I am very interested to see how it goes down. We have witnessed Chia trade a young forward in the past and it turned into a absolute fleece by the Stars.
1 for 1 trades are so rare so I suspect the Oilers are going to be trading a loonie for 3 quarters.
Something like Ceci, Lazar, 2nd for Nuge

Sens will be perfectly happy keeping those two player over Nuge. Maybe if Turris didn't become the player ARZ drafted him to be, maybe. But they're insanely high on Lazar and golden local boy Ceci. Let alone and extra pick.

Ceci's been struggling this year and the fans expectations for lazar have been lowered significantly as of late. Nashville seems like a good trade partner. Rya Ellis/Jarnrok or Watson and a 1st or 2nd maybe for the Tenderness RNH.
I doubt they give up Josi/Jones unless Edmonton gives up their 1st. If I was Jones I'd be counting down the days until my extension kicks i and make sure I get a NTC. Proposals of him to EDM have been going on for years.
