I'd argue this by saying the Sink did not give out simply from "wear and tear" but it was obviously improperly installed. There is no way that this is not a case of a negligent install which should I need to take this to court, Im quite confident a judge would agree. You don't get to wipe your hands clean of negligence simply cause you decided to slap a one year warranty on it. Especially when you confirmed a two year warranty in the condo documents.
Also the damage is far from minimal, my entire floor outside of the bedrooms and bathrooms has to be replaced and their could be more severe damage under it. We're talking tens of thousands of dollars here.
On top of that they deleted their review page to try and bury this and purposely avoided answering the warranty coverage question. Not okay.
Anyways, thanks for the support guys. Ill be making a new and final reddit thread sometime soon updating everything that happened and one more thing I plan on doing which should hopefully be just as impactful.

Minimal damage? Water damage to his and the suite below. Plus their initial response of suggesting he stood in the sink makes this okay.

Oh come on. How many sinks have you had fall out over the years? I'm guessing zero. If in 15 years it fell out, well OK. But after less than 2 years? This isn't some cheap bundle of electronics waiting to overheat and crap out. It's glue. Clearly it didn't function as intended, and if the builder had any ####s to give they would have made this right. Any decent company that cares about their customers would.

I disagree. The "technology" exists to secure a sink until Trump nukes it to bits. It's no more costly to install it properly than to botch it. If you knew some dolt ponk'd your tv while building it, you be mad too. If you were correct, where would you draw the the line? Should your house collapse into dust on day 366? Houses and their components are held to a much higher standard than tv's. Why build a sink out of stainless steal if it's just going to fall apart in a year?

...man, talk about a beaten down consumer right here.
You did well in the video, and I'm now personally aware of Truman Homes - and knowing the kind of rubbish work they have done with their builds, I will be avoiding them.
Consumer awareness is important.

Or a Truman sink installer.

Guys, I've obtained an exclusive transcript from the video!

Polak: Yeah, that’s a beautiful sink. I better use some two tone socks just in case I start dancing all over it. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful sinks — I just start dancing all over them. It’s like a magnet. Just dance. I don’t even wait. And when you’re an EDM star, they let you do it. You can do anything.
Billy Bush: Whatever you want.
Polak: Grab ’em by the faucets. You can do anything.

I like the crime scene, with the empty beer bottle underneath. Honestly, you did very well and it didn't look good for Truman.

Yes this is the issue. However the insurers should take care of it and sort the blame out between them so as to not inconvenience you with having to sue.

Great news story. Hope they do the right thing. Far too often builders respond with we are not liable - call New Home Warranty. Sorry Mr Builder you are goddam liable. I would sue their sorry ass.

Yah, good piece. Nothing in that clip you said was outrageous. Seemed pretty fair and to the point.
I mean, the freaking sink fell out. I don't care if it's past the 1 year, that is shoddy build quality. Truman could have avoided all the hassles if they would have taken some responsibility for it. Instead, they give you the TFB answer, which is not ok. Far too often with condos (and houses) builders aren't held accountable enough for their shoddy workmanship.

How many Polaks does it take to do the dishes?
Just one. But he stands in the sink while doing them.

Minimal damage? The sink, the Island it sits in, the Floor, the paint on the wall, and whatever damage it caused beneath cork board and the unit below him.
In what world is that minimal damage other than Ducay's delusional world?

I'm always interested in hearing about companies and how they handle customer service, good and bad.
I'm not in the market for a new build, but would definitely be asking more questions before considering Truman.
I also had no idea how undermount sinks were attached to countertops, so good learning there as well. Will ensure its epoxy'ed correctly and strapped when I re-do my kitchen eventually.
Will be following for updates, and hopefully a positive resolution.

What a ridiculous argument! hah!
"How do we know that you weren't just sitting or standing in the sink?"
Did you answer,
"Because I'm an adult and I have a shower, and/or a bath tub"?

I thought his answer was perfect. "Well, it's a sink." Like, what world do you live in where people stand in sinks.
The "that's what she said" moment at the beginning was good too. It's not very big or deep. I hope his friends bug him about that one.
