I like the Penguins (even before the Iginla trade), but I think there's something to this sentiment.

Problem is that they should have more humility. The Penguins of the early 2000s were chronically terrible, and almost moved away from Pittsburgh. The biggest reason why they are such an awesome franchise now (not the only reason, but the biggest) is that they won the Crosby sweepstakes by pure luck.

Good news in the OOT: Flyers leading the Bruins 2-0 in the 3rd. Go teams below us!

I got banned for posting a link a while back, then again I get banned for not agreeing with people so he is probably fine

I think the penalty was warranted but that is probably it, no suspension...he didn't mean for it to happen like that but you gotta be responsible for your actions out there.

Are you sure it was luck? or by NHL design to save an ailing team in a major market

After listening to the Penguins broadcast and participating on the Penguins forum on hfboards i'd just like to take a second to thank you Calgary Flames fans. My god, these guys are so full of themselves and can't manage to take off their Pens goggles. Even the arena of fans booing that obvious call was hard to watch.

I see myself being more of a hardcore iggy fan over a Penguins fan.

They showed the concourse during the intermissions. Already people wearing Iginla Pittsburgh jerseys.

I'm slowly starting to move on and not care about the Penguins.

Go Isles... As unlikely as it may be that the Pens don't win their division, I want this first round pick to be as high as possible.

That's actually a conspiracy theory I'm willing to buy into.

Pens broke their All time record for minutes without allowing a goal, 188:24 minutes.

Bettman was personally grovelling to the City of Pittsburgh to build a new arena. The NHL was very involved in trying to save the team. In the end, it was the Crosby lottery that saved them though.

It's why I don't like that fanbase. They get Lemieux ... they add Jagr in his prime to that. Then they're gone and they abandon the team to point of relocation. Then they win the Crosby lottery and they're "great fans" again. Spoiled #######s.

I hope Pittsburgh win the cup this year and Iggy doesn't resign with them. The more I watch them, the more I dislike the team and the fans.

*News comes out that Crosby is out longer than expected*

Feaster: "Hey Dan, sorry to hear Crosby is out (again). No worries though, I already traded you one of my best centers!"

Good news about PHI!

We're currently 4th last. That means we're in Barkov position. Now we just need to move up into McKinnon/Drouin territory.
