I was hoping for a good game. Now I either have to go to the pool or watch a nascar race... Pool here I come.

Rough day for the officials. I feel for them, especially the linesman in the England game. At full speed, that's a tough call to make and he wasn't in a good position to make that call. He wasn't in a good position because he is required to be in line with the last defender. He made the call, he was obviouslty wrong, but in no way do I think he should be punished for this. Yes, we can easily say that we knew that was in at first glance on TV, but you can never be 100 percent sure on a call like that.
The linesman in the Mexico game has zero excuse. That was a terrible call. Just brutal.
Time for FIFA to get with the program and use video replay. These wrong calls on goals have a huge impact on the matches and reflect poorly on the sport. They need to do everything possible to get the calls right. Its a joke. Really disappointed in FIFA today. Garbage all around.

Just stating a fact that the Germans scored 4 goals. Even if that goal would of counted the germans would of still won by two. Now get your panties out of your butt and quit being so butt hurt about it.
Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it.
Germany was by far the better team today by to say that they would have still won by two goals had that counted is just being ignorant and a poor winner.
The game would have been completely different, England having to play from behind changes the outcome of the game.
Germany could have still won 4-2, could have been 3-2 England we will never know but at least be smart enough to admit it had a huge effect on the outcome of the game.
Edit: Did not see that you had admitted it affected the game so I take back a little bit of what I said but still let the English fans complain because they are allowed too even if Germany was the better team.

I think Argentina are going to have some issues with Germany next week.

Glad to see England go out but anyways for those saying it wasn't Capello's fault, yes the players are very much to blame but also the squad selection and substitutions had a lot to do with the lack of success on the pitch. I'm no Defoe fan but come on bringing Heskey on for him when goals are desperately needed? Apparently he "links up well with Rooney," well neither of them did an effing thing this tournament besides Heskey's pass to Gerrard in the first 5 minutes of the tourney. And why did Joe Hart not get a sniff in net? He was clearly the best keeper of the 3 in the league this past season. Joe Cole was severely under-utilized too and I don't know why Wright-Phillips was anywhere near the squad. I would have played Dawson instead of Upson too, and probably wouldn't have even included Ledley King since he can never play 2 games back to back! And I think there are a few players who were left at home who could have really helped out this England team offensively....

Agreed 100%. I'm tired of the rotating door of managers, but Fabio didn't do a good job and needs to be held accountable.
I'm starting to believe Heskey will play for England forever. Even when he's 50 they'll bring him along and no one in the world will understand why.
anyone know where you can find that photoshopped picture of the no goal on England, the one they showed at half time on CBC, with the goal line being adjusted behind the ball?
