I never asked you to "give up goals" either, Dino. I suggested that if it was to be a non-handicapped bet then I would be willing to take it on at worse than booking odds. If you wanted to do the 'pumped' bet(suggested +2, so they would have to win by 3), then we could realign this.

Anyway...who cares, eh? Always love when people say "wanna bet on it" then tuck when someone calls them on it.
Dude, I think you're the one "tucking" on their prediction. Most people on here likely know how bets work. But betting on an underdog is not the same as believing/proclaiming they are going to win big. It means you think you have a favorable chance to win some money given current betting lines and odds.

Are you predicting Canada loses by 2+ goals?

Canada wins a nailbiter IMO.

I have spelled out what I meant multiple times. How is it tucking when I was keen to take the bet, which someone else suggested, either straight up or with a +2 handicap for Canada? Legitimately offered every bet option to cater for old mate at fair, < market odds. If you cannot understand that, through lack of reading comprehension or understanding of odds, from my multiple posts then ####, there is nothing else I can say to explain it.

FWIW the bookies are very much aligned with my thinking, with Canada going up at a much higher price then most would of predicted. They are actually paying around the same $ to beat Sweden as they were to win the whole tournament before it started. Wouldn't be surprised to see them drift further with significant money coming in for Sweden over the last few hours, who have now shortened from +200 to +175 .

I'd certainly call Canada the underdog. At what position is Canada better than Sweden? Pure offensive skill at forward, but overall I think I probably take Sweden's F group in a one-off game. "Solid" is the word for them, Eriksson Ek is basically the perfect captain for that team as their whole game mirrors his. Meanwhile Sweden's better on D, and their goaltending has obviously looked much better than Canada's to this point in the tourney.

Plenty of ways for Canada to win, particularly if they stay out of the box, but Sweden's still over 50-50.

Sweden should be favoured based on the goaltending (Canadian, in particular) alone. I assume Hart will start, but he needs to be much better than what we have seen lately from the Canadian goalies.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
