that last gif was awesome when Backs is congratulating him with words that are inappropriate to state on this forum.

Any chance of a gif/clip of that Bouma hit on de Haan in the 3rd AC?

And who said Monahan doesn't have good hands. That's a goal scorers goal

And how great is it when your Captain has an off night and still manages to get 2 points and contributes to a comeback win... Loving this team
I remember hearing that he had some of the best hands in his draft class, he doesn't show them as much with one on one fancy moves but you see it when he's in close around the net. A little like Tim Kerr, the underappreciated ability to score scrambly goals in difficult areas.

Leading up to the draft last year, TSN gave their ratings of each players abilities including shot, hands, speed, playmaking, and size I think. I remember McKinnon was the only one who scored 5/5 in all categories. Monahan scored 5/5 in all categories except for speed... Pretty sure they gave him a 4/5 for that. I remember the panel saying that he might have the best hands of anyone in the draft except for druin. They also raved about his shot and that it was NHL caliber... We've seen that for sure.

Tim Kerr. An often forgotten guy I've wanted to see in a post.

Sounds similar. I'm also trying to think of that guy who played with Philly and Washington among others. Oh...Knuble!!

Except Monahan is a centre with better vision and awareness if I remember correctly. All of them good in tight though. Hope Sean can start getting deflections at some point. I think he will in time.
