Honestly, I'm fine with any/all the veterans moving on if the price is right.
Take some meh cap hits back through trades and maximize the assets you get.
No reason to hold onto anyone at this point. If you're going to rebuild, do it right and tear it down. Keep Lomberg and in the offseason sign some character guys to way too high $ for their ability contract to have some stability for next year.

I wonder if defenseman Olli Maatta and his $3.5 million for this year and two more are part of the return to offset the salaries somewhat. He has played 22 games this year and is averaging 12 min a game. He looks like a guy they'd want to dump.
The Flames would finally get the guy they should have drafted instead of Mark Jankowski.

There are more than just 2 options. He can easily say trade me to X, Y, or Z teams or I'm not waiving. Some of you guys make it seem it's easy to commit yourself and your family to a new city and franchise with only a couple of days to decide.
