That looks like a bad decision by Caleb but his receiver just didn't break on the route at all and the DB makes an amazing break on it.

That's Caleb. Great highs, and some puzzling lows.
Had to win the turned over battle, and didn't.
Great season
Bear down

McVay needs to coach a whole lot better next week for that one to be competitive. Got lucky with the Bears making a mess of big situations, save the Hail Satan. Bears had a hell of a ride, but the one score game rollercoaster is basically Russian Roulette and the Bears finally lost.

Williams goes from hero to goat. That interception in OT is going to haunt Williams for some time.

Williams hadn’t thrown a ball that deep, in the middle of the field, in a while. Risky because things like that happen. No reason why Bears couldn’t keep dink and dunk.

Magic runs out.

Rams are a lot tougher matchup for the Seahawks and the conditions will most likely be pretty good, which was an equalizer today.

If LA and Seattle can recreate the magic from a few weeks ago we’re in for a treat. Maybe it’ll make up for the beatdown the Pats are gonna lay on the broncos.

Can I say again, why kick off in OT? I want the ball 3rd possession.

Between 2010 and 2021, teams that won the coin toss in the playoffs went 10–2. In 7 of those 12 games (58%), the winning team scored a touchdown on the opening drive, ending the game before the opponent ever touched the ball.

Because you've already decided you are going for two if you score a TD, so going second guarantees you can use all four downs if the other team scores a FG or TD. And maybe one day we'll see it, but it'd be ballsy to go for two as the first team possessing it cause obviously a miss means a TD+EP beats you if you fail the two.

The value in getting a 2nd possession that’s sudden death far outweighs the value in seeing what your opponent did first (which is often not even a scoring possession) to match it or beat it

But there is no guarantee of a second possession so I'd rather have control of winning the game and the maximum amount of downs to do it with. If Caleb just kept checking it down and scrambling when nothing is there they only needed 15 more yards for a solid FG attempt. Just made a bad force that wasn't really there.

Went 4 for 4 (!) on here with the picks this week, so I expect to go 0-2 next week.

Pats by at least a TD:
Payton will get the backup in an appropriate game plan but won’t be enough.

Maye won’t be lights out, but like today, make a few key timely plays and that will be good enough.

Seahawks by 3 or less:
Seattle fortunate to get past the Rams at home in the season. McVey will throw some wrinkles in things and Stafford will execute. Darnold will be dull as usual but the running game will be effective.
But I think Seattle wins the turnover battle on defense and the game comes down to the last minute.

I'm going Pats and Seahawks, both games by 14+ points.

I imagine the math changes for a freezing cold game in the snow.

Yeah maybe, but as the senator said, Bears were driving to win and tripped on their own laces one too many times. It was theirs for the win, no question

Not going for two at the end of regulation was the mistake if there is one to choose between that and kicking off/receiving in OT. Weather as it was and new kickoff rules as they are 18 seconds is gonna be pretty hard to get a FG attempt even with two timeouts.
