I'm going with the Ducks.
1) Trouba and Gudas are both UFA this summer
2) Most of their young, good D are LD (LaCombe, Zellweger, Mintyukov, Solberg)
3) They have a glut of young Cs with McTavish already being out in the media last summer saying he won't play wing.

After a strong start they have dropped off a bit but can definitely still make the playoffs this year. Andersson can help them do that now and for years to come.

Carlsson's injury throws a wrench into the plans of this season but the long term need for a #1RD is still there.

When you are hosting a bidding war, with emphasis on circling back on teams and giving them a chance to up their bid or hold as new bids come in, there is no real harm in playing things out. The last thing you want to do is pull the trigger early and leave the other GMs feeling like you did not give them a chance to up their bids.

We have to remember that Conroy is not just trading Andersson, he is setting the stage for trading Coleman and Kadri.

Utah. Tij and a 2027 1st for Andersson and Honzek.

I beg that the Coleman and Kadri trades happen faster than this one. Holy hell

I haven't kept with all of the "insider" tidbits, but I'm guessing an issue with Boston is that Rasmus hasn't committed to an extension with them. If Boston not comfortable that he will, their offer isn't firm.

Has it been put out there who is most recently rumored ?

It’s a western team. SuperMatt18 speculates through process of elimination that it could be Utah, Seattle or Anaheim

I feel like people might have missed BigThief's opinion on the insider posts, and that perhaps they might just be trying to wind people up, feeding on the desperation for new info. A big "gotcha" may follow, and no one but BigThief will care.

I find it funny how much urgency there is from some people on here to get these trades done, when they're not involved in the process and have no idea what's going on behind the scenes....

Sure, it's nice to have something new to argue with everyone about, but in the end, in the words of the wise Devin Cooley - "Nothing matters. Nobody Cares. We're all going to die."

Deep breath everyone. Relax. Doesn't matter whether the trade(s) happen now, or at the deadline. Enjoy the ride

They have won plenty of smaller trades over the years, but those are the biggies I can recall just offhand.

EDIT: When Fletcher got Doug Risebrough out of Montreal for a swap of picks, that was some pretty neat work.

Jokes on you ####ers! I have 25 fingers on each hand! Bet you didn't factor that, eh?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yeah, Cliff and Coates were beauties and Conroy is quickly earning his spot next to them as shapers of this team.

I hope that whichever prospect we get aside from a 1st round pick is a young centre. We have enough wingers and defence prospects that are expected to be good

It’s almost as if people have to evaluate choices, make decisions and consider options, families, cities, team positions, executives, advisors, lawyers and accountants….surely they can all do that in a day? /s

Amazed at the lack of understanding and patience from some.

I think everyone is just tired of talking about it. But there are a lot of seasoned people on the ops side. I’m sure they will make the best decision

A young center that we can plug into the lineup now to free up another trade.

People are excited about what this could mean for the direction of the team. I don’t think (I hope) anyone’s camping out on his lawn to find information.

What’s the harm in fun speculation and hopes and guesses on a return that could change the fortunes of the team we’re all cheering for?
