Danielson has similar concerns.
The reality is blue chip centers are rarely moved in deals like this - you have to assess the right player that has more upside and is a bit of a buy low candidate.
12 months ago Boston would have said Poitras is untouchable.
The only reason you might even have a chance now is because his play was down a bit over the last year.

fair. Admittedly, I've followed Poitras more closely because of the CPHL, so I don't know as much about Danielson.
I'd still be happy to add Poitras, mind you. Development is obviously not linear, so he might easily bounce back.

My last post of the day before I head out to enjoy the weekend here in San Jose.
San Jose has done what they can do. It’s up to Calgary to decide which direction they are going. Some teams were told he wouldn’t sign and some weren’t given no for an answer. San Jose wasn’t given a no. If Andersson committed to signing in San Jose I think a deal would be done but I don’t think he has committed. Seems to be another team he is committed to and Calgary has to decide which way they are going.
