Rasmus is a solid NHLer. Was super raw when Flames got him, and they developed him into a special player. Not superstar, but the kind of glue every team needs.
Sad he is leaving but optimistic that this starts another great trade tree for the Flames.

I agree, but the comment is I won't lose sleep not picking top 3. I agree that it is likely that we pick top 3 next year, but Conroy has more control to pick top 3 this year. He can sell and sell now and only need to full tank for less than half a year and then put a young team out that likely finishes bottom 3 next year but if young players play well next year and we pick 6-10, I'm more ok with that next year as we will have cleaned house of Kadri, Coleman and Ras.
Finishing higher this year on the backs of Ras, Coleman, Kadri, Backlund makes no sense to me.
Finished higher next year on the backs of Coronato, Zary, Frost, 2026 1st rounder, Parekh, Wolf. I can live with that.
