I have been away for a few days, but want to thank my Calg Puck Secret Santa for a great gift. Got an excellent bottle of cognac, a rocks glass set and some stone cold chillers.
Greatly appreciated and thanks for all that took part in it this year. Merry Merry.

Late to this but big thanks to Lumby Lager for the multiple donations. I often feel guilty joining this because I love giving gifts but feel my requests blocks the creativity that others might enjoy. Lumby Lager nailed it out of the park and I greatly appreciate it!
Always love seeing all the pictures on here too. Super fun.

Haven't had a chance to post in here before now but my Secret Santa was none other than fotze himself, who ended up going far above and beyond anything I ever anticipated.
Over the course of three or so weeks, fotze surreptitiously befriended me under the guise of expressing interest in a car from the dealership where I work. As he later explained, he was trying to "get to know me" after I admittedly put rather little thought into answering my questionnaire. He invited me out with a couple others — including good old Locke, who slipped me his own business card — for a nice little outing at Schanks. And all of this, unbeknownst to me, was a stealth recon exercise.
In any event, I ended up getting a big ol' gift certificate to Mercato on 4th, which, unbeknownst to fotze, I actually spent a summer working at in my school years. Perfect. I also got a huge case of imported Cherry Dr. Pepper, a box of candy canes, and, inexplicably, a DeWalt work light that looked like it had already been opened. This, to me, is truly an unimpeachable assortment of holiday gifts.
But here's the thing. Fotze had slid into my DMs on his recon assignment in a bid to figure out what I'd like for Christmas. But in the process, one of the vehicles on my lot genuinely did catch his eye ... and as it turns out, he'll be the one driving away in a gorgeous, nearly-new 4x4 later this week. Absolutely a thing of beauty.
So in the end, I'd say we both got quite a lot out of these past few weeks. And I think the biggest thing of all is a legit connection between two posters and people who, prior to this year's Secret Santa, had never crossed paths in more than a decade of our shared time on this site. It's been a wonderful December and I'd say the best gift I got was a new pal.

Why does this read like the narrator of a Scorsese movie setting up a prologue

Thanks, It was my pleasure.
I am in this every year because I want to give and it is that simple, as I believe all of us are in this for giving.
I appreciate that every year you give twice. It was also cool my cat chose the dog for sponsorship.
Have a phenomenal New Years!

A big thank you to Edslunch, for the game Ransom Notes - and a Sentry Box gift card.
We promptly played ransom notes shortly after opening, and had a great time.
Apparently, no one in my household knows how to make anything other than sexual jokes, I had to level up in order to win any cards!

Every time I play I end up with multiple synonyms for butt. The jokes write themselves.
