Its always strange to me that they dont do a grey cup rematch for game 1 of the season.

Not a fan of the BYE week being in week 2 though.

True story. When my ex-wife was pregnant with my first son we ended up in the same Foothills Hospital newborn baby class as Burris and his wife pregnant with Armand. Crazy how time flies.

Yeah that wouldn't be a bad idea although the first few weeks of the CFL season are glorified preseason and maybe you don't want to see a Grey Cup rematch when the teams are playing pretty sloppy football.

Feel for the Argo fans though, No home games until week 10.

6 home games this year - hopefully its not a death blow to the franchise.

I still don't get why they don't start the season earlier and finish by end of October.

IIRC they're doing that for 2027?

Yes, not quite ending at the end of October, but getting darn close.

The CFL is moving its schedule up one week in 2027, a spokesperson has confirmed to 3DownNation.

The adjustment was unveiled on Monday as part of the announcement for the location of the 114th Grey Cup, which has been awarded to Regina, Sask. The game will be played on Sunday, November 7, 2027, making it the earliest Grey Cup of all-time.

The average age of CFL starting QB's has to be as high as it's ever been.

It might depend on what happens with Jacob Roberts who is looking at NFL opportunities (he had a workout with the Vikings earlier this week). Sankey is only 31 years old, he should have a few good years left in him.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Canadian running back Brady Oliveira to a three-year contract extension, tying him to the team through 2028. He was set to become a free agent in February.

According to 3DownNation insider Justin Dunk, Oliveira will earn $290,000 in the first year of the deal, then $300,000 in 2027 and 2028. The local star was already the CFL’s highest-paid running back, earning $240,000 in 2025.
