I love the guy here, but I'm not sure that he would make it in a much higher league. I don't think he's good enough for MLS?

I think he's good enough but he wouldn't get the creative freedom he does here and you'd lose what really sets him apart. He'd still be a big body striker who can finish and that has value. He'd be an improvement over whatever Toronto was playing at striker all year as an example. If Sam Salter is moving to Europe then surely Warschewski could get a move to a higher level.
His passport is working against him though (same as Klomp). If he counted as a domestic player I think he would make the jump but I will love him in Calgary as long as we can keep him!
Also, seeing Bobby Smyrniotis lose just brings joy to the world. Wonder if Bekker is almost done. He didn't have the legs by the end of the season and was being subbed befor end of games chasing a win.
I'd love to see Noah Jensen in Calgary since he somehow has seemingly fallen out of favour in Hamilton... Not sure why Smyrniotis didn't trust him down the stretch.

They showed him taking extra time (shirtless of course ) going around to the fans and giving handshakes/high fives. It looked like a potential farewell.
I must say it would make me a bit said. The guy is a great foil, and the older more useless version of him is so fun to root against. My daughter asks to go to every Forge game so she can boo Kyle Bekker, and she showed no real interest in going to games until this became a thing for her.

The club sent an email today saying that the ability to switch seats is now available online until Friday afternoon. I've been thinking of switching to something cheaper for next season but the site only allows you to upgrade to something of the same value or higher.
That's a bit greasy.

Honestly just give them a call. Whether it be Ticketmaster or the club being greasy (or a bit of both), they're really great on the phone and can get it sorted out for you.

League announced today that they're switching from Macron to Hummel. Not a fan. Their NSL were incredibly poor quality and the authentics are much more expensive then what we have with Macron.

Snow coming for Sunday! Looks widely variable depending on the forecast, but could be fun. Snow seems like Elva conditions, but will hurt Toby.

Tobi often dribbles like Bambi on ice so this will suit him just fine.

It actually looks like they're expecting a significant amount of snow on Sunday with 5-15cm. This will be interesting to say the least. CTV Ottawa has their "first major snowfall expected" sort of article up and everything.

The CPL schedule making it into November is so incredibly dumb. Like even late October is too much, and this should be wrapped up by Thanksgiving.

Perhaps they should just relocate this game to Calgary, which will be 11 degrees with some sun. Do the right thing here CPL, for the good of the game.

I think there will be 32 matches next season. Surely the league needs to look into wrapping things up earlier than November 9? I don't know if the match will even be playable tomorrow with all the snow.

It is hard to predict. Last year's final in Calgary was beautiful on November 9th, and will be tomorrow as well. Too bad the match isn't here. We've had September and October days much worse than this.
That being said, I do semi-agree, but I'm not sure what else they can do. Aside from adding more mid-week matches, of course. Spring arrives late, winter often comes early - that's just how it is.

If the league adds more mid-week matches, people will just complain about the mid-week matches.

It’s not much of a puzzle. You start earlier and play what are essentially meaningless games in the colder weather so that the most meaningful games are earlier and played in better weather. Honestly, having your showcase game potentially played in inclement cold or with too much snow is a fail for the league. If you have this kind of issue with an early April game, you reschedule it for mid week somewhere in the season and move along.

I actually the weather and snow is to Cavalry’s advantage. I like Warschewski’s ability to make something out of nothing and the weather could help neutralize a strong Ottawa team
