And I just arrived back in Fredericton from a 3 week magical road trip around the east coast provinces where I grew up as a child. Off to the west coast in a few days to a little island and rental cabin, that's been home the past 35 years.

It'll be fascinating to watch and see who the Canucks end up trading for to bring help down the middle. I don't see them going into any sort of rebuild or retool with Quinn wanting a competitive team to stay in Van and extend, so some sort of picks and prospects trade for a C like Rossi is what I'm guessing happens...

Kadri is such a solid fit for Vancouver as he brings a lot of what they lost with Miller but seems to be a more beloved teammate. I do think Vancouver would be a place Kadri may consider but I don’t think he will be dealt.
If the Canucks come with a Lindholm level offer where they include a 1st, and a top prospect maybe with a useful cap dump the Flames would look at it?

At the moment, according to Puckpedia, the Canucks are over the cap. No way they can take on a $7 million salary without big money going back the other way – even if Kadri decided to waive.

Kadri or Frost should be of interest to the Canucks. There aren't any options.
Canucks can always send cap back to Calgary to make the numbers work, and/or Calgary can retain if the price is right (and it would have to be for a 3 year retention!). Frost I really see as a Canuck, I don't know why.

Hoglander and Forbort for roster pieces maybe? They both make $3M. Evander Kane could be someone who the Flames take on and reroute at the deadline?

Could we take Kane and tell him never to get on a plane to Calgary and then work to trade him for whatever possible?
