Based on the highlights they graciously allowed us on TSN, Montgomery an absolute pylon on the first goal against. No idea what happened on the penalty in the 96th though.
Another underwhelming result. I like Cavalry's chances next week against the winner of 4 vs 5 but they stand no chance of getting a result against either Forge or Ottawa on the road.

Cavalry play York Sunday. What a zany game. Gagnon-Laparé goes from the hero winning the game late, to failing to clear the ball allowing it to be tied in the 119', and then losing it all on the 6th PK. Quite the arc.
York going 120 minutes and then having to fly across the country to play a game 4 days later bodes well for Cavalry. At this point, just win the damn games and move on.

Not exactly Cavalry related as they will be at Spruce Meadows, but there are a couple stadium projects proposed in Calgary.
First, at the University of Calgary to build a 7500 seat stadium for Dinos athletics (including soccer). Would probably be more relevant for the Wild as there were rumours they were interested in playing on campus originally
Second, the stadium at Mount Royal University is undergoing a conversion from grass to turf and adding additional seating capacity. I can't find any photos related to the construction.

The turf is down at MRU, I not sure they added seating capacity and all the seemed to need to be finished was the technical area for the teams. Was ther last weekend.
Very interesting. That stadium would be a great fit for the Wild. I'm curious what happens with McMahon if the Dinos and high school football aren't using it - hard to justify keeping it around for 10 Stampeder games per year. 7500 is too small for CFL...

The proposal for Dinosaur Stadium has been around for a few years. I totally get why they would be interested in doing this, but I don't there there is any funding for this vision.

For some additional information, that UofC concept (and it's a couple years old now) is proposed to be similar in approach to PayPal Park, the San Jose Earthquake's MLS stadium. Prefabricated components and steel superstructure to keep the cost down, etc. If you want to see how this one would end up getting built similar to (if it ever did, which I doubt anytime soon), check out that stadium.
Well ####. Goooo Elva! Too bad Henry didn't get to a spot where he could step in and fill part of Camargo's role. Camargo has been our most important player this season IMO.

This has been Camargo’s best season of his Cavalry career I think. He really showed me wrong and has carried this team at times. Now Elva needs to step and show why they signed him
Last game at Spruce Meadows for the year. It’s been a great time with all of you!
Who are we cheering for on the other side? I think we match up better with Forge but ultimately probably fail on the road if they make it past York today (which they should even with the absences)
