Klapka maybe, but Zary deserves more. Maybe he is getting 4th line center until he adjusts from wing to center. But his stats say he is out playing some of these vets.
This doesn't even factor in that Huberdeau is out and likely will be up there in minutes played.
Who is coming out? My guess is Gridin who has shown flashes of being ready. He plays 14 a night and Huberdeau probably gets 18. Who is losing those minutes?

I think Coleman needs to get mailed out. Gotta make some room. Miromanov as well.

Huberdeau who was 2nd in team scoring last year doesn't get his job back?

Would you trade Coleman now for next to nothing just to make room?

Coleman stays.
That guy embodies this team's identity. You dont want to go to War with Balakey!

9 games left in October and it's not an easy stretch. Will be interesting to see where they are on Halloween.
Could easily be something like 4-8-0 by that point with the tough schedule here.

It's not a mystery. If Zary was tearing it up he'd get all the ice time he wanted, but as of now he is not.

Don't think you need to make room. Realistically, there will always be two forwards and a defenseman injured on the team at any point in time.
And in the event everyone's healthy, there can be a scratch rotation between Lombo/Kirkland/Klapka.

Is Scratchy Tuesday still a thing? Didn't see any mention on the Flames gameday stuff.

But I will ask why does Sharangovich seem to get a pass all of the time. There are going to be players out performing him that are going to get demoted or be stuck on the 4th line getting 10 minutes or less a night.
While he seems to fly under the radar on the second line doing essentially nothing.
|
Likely because he's in the first year of his 5 x $5.75 contract which the organization realizes is immovable. When you look at contract vs what he provides (typically nothing) on a nightly basis it's worse than the Huby contract. However as discussed, he's seems to rise up every 2nd season and he stunk last season so the team has to try and get him going.

Possession wise, Sharangovich is one of the better ones on the team.
Which isn't saying much, but at least it's something.

If you watch all 200' of his game, he's actually pretty solid.

Not sure why all the hate for Farabee. 2 assists in 3 games and has some speed and size.

Frost and Coronato looked pretty good together in camp, but they lasted exactly one regular season game together. Flames' coaches and blenders: name a more iconic duo.

He is an excellent middle 6 player. I think even without offense at all this guy is a winner on a 4th line.
Don't understand the hate/ the random thoughts about buying him out (lol)
