This needs to be emphasized. A lot of news and media sources keep saying that Kimmel was suspended for comments about Charlie Kirk. He was suspended for insulting Trump and MAGA. So much lazy reporting even by outlets critical of the decision.

Low bar.

I genuinely think I’ve done more for Americans than Trump ever has.

Except for one and as it turns out the most important one, Merrick Garland is the reason Trump isn't in jail where he belongs and is again president and even if he got caught in the slow roll he should have released the Epstein files despite what Dems are in them. Either way Trump wouldn't be in office if Garland wasn't an idiot.

Let's all keep in mind that Trump's initial presidential campaign was likely a stunt to promote his reality tv show. He got fired from that show for making racist comments and just decided to run with the presidency bid.

Are people now surprised the primary qualification for his appointments seems to be celebrity power?

Don’t think Jimmy should have been cancelled. Seems strange.

I am old enough to remember when people would get cancelled for an actual good reason. Like telling people to wear poppies.

I jest….

When you go to the Circus expect to see clowns.

Garland isn't incompetent, he just has feet of clay. But the fact he was AG falls on (a) Ruth Bader Ginsberg (who refused to retire in time to get Obama a SCOTUS pick in time); (b) Barack Obama (who chose Garland for SCOTUS unsuccessfully, thus making Biden feel like he should throw a position his way); (c) Mitch McConnell (who changed the rules and prevented Garlan's SCOTUS appointment) and (d) Biden (though TBF, why would he think Garland would act so lazily).

Facts are facts, Trump wouldn't be in office if Garland did his job, his missed opportunity to stop Trump in his tracks is eerily similar to allowing Hitler to seize power.

By the end, it was real Weekend at Bernie's situation with Biden essentially a figure head. If the Democrats had chosen a more with it candidate in the first place, Trump wouldn't be president again.

I've been thinking about his some more.

I see both sides "scoring political points" from this. But what does that even mean? What happened to Kirk was an awful event. Isn't it the governments job to react to events like this and make changes to the law/policies? Isn't it the role of the citizens to push their governments to make changes?

What's this obsession with "scoring political points"? Following an event like this, American should be openly discussing gun control, radicalization, freedom of speech, etc... No one, except the shooter, planned this event for the purpose of furthering a political position.

I mean if they chose better than Hillary in the first place that would have been the end of it but that doesn't excuse all the rubes for falling for his nonsense over and over again

Nah, what political points has anyone with any kind of name on the left tried to make?

The network had enough of Jimbo whining and crying all the time and bringing down the ratings. Don't blame them.

That's the thing. If the left brings out the gun control issue after someone is killed via gun violence, the right disparages that view as "trying to score political points", when in fact it is a pretty obvious response to an obvious issue.

We aren't blaming the network. We are blaming the pretty clear political interference from the FCC.

He's back tomorrow... https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv...bc-1236374942/

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” ABC parent The Walt Disney Company said in a statement Monday. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

No way I'd trust those guys again. Not in a million years. Get picked up by another network or do something else.

Yeah, I’m watching a livestream ( the whatever the hell Trump is babbling about) and there are people in the chat complaining about it, saying Disney is really self-destructing by bringing him back. They have no clue about the thousands of people who cancelled their Disney and Hulu subscriptions due to the cancellation. Are we even on the same planet?
