Can someone post the Cole's notes on the Taco* thing please?

It's funny.
He’s got to be one of the last ones with that. Reminds me of a beer league team we played against that was mostly old Midnapore players and they used the upside down Whalers logo as well since the organization got amalgamated. I still have my Elbow Park hockey bag as a relic of a bygone era.
Apologies for the sidetrack down nostalgia lane of old Calgary minor hockey organizations.

And it was thusly that the Great Calgary Flames Snack War of 2025-26 began.
Costco had sooner acquired first rights on horning in on the snack war with their very reasonably priced hot dogs, however, they had to contend with Harvey the Hound and his propensity for pocket dawgs.
And then, as if out of the mist appeared another contender...the Tacoman...Jr. And that is how the fight started.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Midnapore got algamated! RIP.
I was so choked I had to move associations from Midnapore to Shaw Meadows for my last year of midget. Worst year of hockey ever.
If it makes you feel any better Shaw Meadows is gone as well. Now it’s all the Knights from Bonavista to Chapparal. How they decide what lake to have the year end party in I do not know.

Did Midnapore have a third jersey or something that was light green with what looked like a piece of Swiss cheese on it? I have a distinct memory of that as a kid but haven’t found anyone to corroborate

I remember that now too that you mention it. This may be the Mandela effect though. what about PSA (Properties), didn't they have green jerseys too?

Apparently Savoie was "easily" the best player on the ice.
"Putting aside for a moment that he was easily the best player on the ice, his skating and edgework are fantastic, and there were more than a few times when he used his legs to dash past a Calgary defender."

The complete lack of awareness and willingness to see anything else in that group up there is absolutely astonishing. I used to be really high on Savoie, but I now don’t think that he can really bring significant offence to the NHL. He is also too small to play a 3rd or 4th line role, so very likely ends up being a career AHL player.

He's the Oil's best prospect. He won't be a career AHLer because they'll force feed him top 6 minutes in the NHL and then sign him to a 9x8.
