I know it's purely for the cash but this is pretty stupid. Unlike Riggs and BJK these two are just 3 years apart in age. Either Kyrgios wins easily or cancels due to injury, and nothing gets prove either way.

They put the stat on the screen prior to the match that Sinner is 15-0 versus other Italians. Well, make it 16-0 after last night.

Kyrgios is not only going to win easily, most of Sabalenka's points are going to be the result of Kyrgios just ####ing around and hitting underhand serves and tweeners. It's pointless. On a single match basis, Kyrgios off his couch is still probably top 500 in the world and that's good enough to beat any WTA#1 ever.

X-factor would be if gambling is gonna be allowed on this. Could 100% see Kyrgios throwing the match after tipping off some buddies to bet heavy on Sabalenka, would be very on brand for him.

It's crazy right now.

If you were to take the 12 grand slams in the next 3 years (2026, 2027, 2028) and how many of them would either Sinner or Alcaraz win, what would be the under over?

10.5?

Forget whether one of them wins the next 12, how many of the next 12 are gonna be Alcaraz-Sinner in the final? At least nine? All 12 wouldn't be a shock. But we'll see who can start to elevate their game to get even close to them.

Is there really any young players that look like they will ascend to their level in the next few years? I don't see it. Probably injuries is the only thing that may get in the way of these two facing off in most of the majors over the next few years. When I look at the current top 20, most of them have plateaued and Shelton is the only player that pops out as having enough weapons to challenge them but he's behind them in development and still needs to make some improvements in his game. Draper as well but his glass body holds him back.

I would add Joao Fonseca to this list, he just needs some more time to get acclimated to the ATP Tour and build up his body to stand the rigors of professional tennis.

I thought of him but I think he's probably two years away from him reaching the consistency required to constantly threaten the big 2. Mensik is another one that has a chance to pop.

My only concern about Mensik is his forehand, it's a lot like the Fritz forehand, it's not a big enough weapon that does enough damage on a consistent basis.

I mean at that point maybe just bring in some doubles players... would make more sense than Reilly Opelka. How in the world?
