Except that there is certainly a segment that would rather be Russian than vote Democrat.

Trying to rationalize this type of logic is bat#### insane too. Both parties should be making lives better for Americans; imagine thinking that a corrupt, authoritarian regime is better than one of the two major parties.
Wait…

Jeanine Pirro (yes, the one from Fox) was confirmed as U.S. Attorney for D.C. today.
The U.S. is not a serious country at the moment.

To be fair we’ve kind of been winging it for a while. That describes most of the last 50+ years of the country. Some bright spots now and then, and Trump is a new/interesting level of terrible, but I feel like this era won’t look out of place in the history books.

At the rate things are deteriorating down there, I’m guessing we’ll see the Running Man by early 2026.

No. I think if it was palatable, he'd be overtly serving Russia. Since it seems at least most Democrat voters and some significant enough portion of Republican voters would not be please by that, he's at least pretending. It's good news that the majority of Americans don't support Russia at this point.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health secretary and a longtime vaccine critic, announced in a statement Tuesday that $500 million worth of vaccine development projects, all using mRNA technology, will be halted.
|
I wonder if that goes for all the mRNA cancer research, too. Ah, #### it, why risk letting them find a cure for cancer?
Quote:
Kennedy said in the Tuesday statement that he wants the health department to move away from mRNA vaccines, calling on the department to start “investing in better solutions.” He provided no details on what those technologies might be.

Horrible and alarming
Quote:
TRUMP RESURRECTS CONFEDERATE TRAITOR IN THE HEART OF D.C.
A Confederate general is making a comeback in Washington D.C.—and it’s not because anyone asked for it.
Donald Trump has authorized the reinstallation of a bronze statue of Confederate Brigadier General Albert Pike, a man tied to white supremacy, war crimes, and the early Ku Klux Klan. It was the only Confederate statue in the capital—until protesters tore it down and burned it during the 2020 Black Lives Matter uprising.
Now, under Trump’s executive order to "beautify" D.C., the National Park Service is restoring it. Crews are already removing corrosion and prepping the damaged base. The goal is to have it back up by October—despite decades of opposition.
Trump defended the statue in 2020, calling protesters “roving gangs” and accusing police of standing down while “great works of art” were destroyed. But critics say this isn't art—it’s glorified hate.
DC Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton condemned the move as “morally objectionable,” noting Pike “took up arms against the United States, misappropriated funds, committed a war crime, and resigned in disgrace.”
Pike led a Confederate regiment in Arkansas accused of scalping Union soldiers in 1862. Historians say he helped shape the rituals and white supremacist ideology of the early KKK, especially in Arkansas. His statue stood outside DC police HQ for over a century, until protesters brought it down.
Now Trump wants it back—in public, in bronze, in the capital.
Because Confederate rebels always get a pedestal in Trump's union.
