It's pretty apparent that Flames fans that watch Bahl every night are going to be the only ones who like this dollar number based on what I'm reading. He's under-appreciated by fans who don't watch the Flames because he isn't flashy.

Great deal, especially with the cap going up.
Edit: I see a limited no trade clause to 8 teams in the last 3 years. That's the one negative thing I would say here. I don't want players like this having no trade clauses because it restricts what you can do for a guy that is a depth player and not one of your franchise players. A small mistake there.

If it was 8 years, the AAV would have been more, not less
Rock solid player with tons of upside - love having him signed long term (expected a shorter deal)

I still remember a few posters here were commenting on how Bahl didn't sound/look happy about being in Calgary and a Flame based off of his pre-season interview when he was injured and hadn't yet gotten on the ice.
