In the last 20 years who were the Flames 2 best players? Both wingers if you think about it.

This should go in the hot takes section but imagine the Dallas 3-way trade proposed earlier goes through where we essentially get #2 pick for Andersson, pospisil, 32 and 18.

Then we trade with Buff for Peterka - I dunno, starting with Zary + Brz + ...

Then dump Peterka to Chicago for 3rd pick.

Bam. I'm not even drinking tonight.

Sillinger is no burner, but he's improved his speed to the point where it's no longer a concern. He contributes very well to transition, plays a tight two-way game, and I believe he'll be a star in a few years.

It may not be a concern, but it's not an asset. The Flames need speed, especially in the top six. Their best skaters are third and fourth liners.

Not a fan of Sillinger either.

I think we take swings at a trade up or star players.

I think it would be a mistake to pass on Sillinger if he was offered up. He's gonna be a good one.

Let's not make any big moves. Don't want Robertson or anyone really.

If you get a good offer for Andersson, Kadri, Coleman, Backlund then take it. But we should be sitting and just building through the draft.

Sometimes the best move is the one you don't make. See James Neal.

Fair. Just doesn’t seem like a big need at the moment with what we have on the big team right now, and with what’s coming up through the system.

This. Would rather have some call ups, and see what we have in Stromgren, honzek, gridin, etc.

Would much rather try and pry a top 5 pick.

Can’t keep swinging at middle 6 players on other teams. Time to draft and develop our guy.

Robertson also no thank you unless he is flipped.

It seemed like that articles was like a fan just giving ideas and not what he heard.

I will go further. We need talent and skill. Speed is good, but talent trumps speed. Luc Robataille carved out a hall of fame career despite not being fleet of foot. Can only imagine Robertson finishing off huberdeau’s passes on the pp if that’s the route we go.

And both got wasted because we. Couldn’t provide them #1C.

Forget the wingers we have a bunch.

Don’t really want Robertson either but a big move that turns Andersson + Posposil + 18th overall into a top 3 pick would be an incredible move for this organization in so many ways. Really want the flames to somehow walk away from this draft with Misa.

I would consider adding the best of our 2026 1st rd picks if we could get Misa.

I would not risk that but, in a scenario where the flames got to 3rd overall in a 3 team deal with Dallas and Chicago, I might be willing to trade 32nd overall + a prospect like Mews to San Jose to move up a spot and get Misa. I don’t want to have another season worrying about the 1st round pick the flames are giving away - especially one in the McKenna draft.

Maybe the best pick the Flames have between 6 and 37 + one of the later ones this year. It's rare that picks aren't top 5-10 protected anymore.

If we had three i would happily walk away with our choice of the other guys. Personally don’t see a huge divide. Ten years from now we could be going how was Obrien not a top three pick?

Something might be brewing with the Sabres, I have heard Andersson is willing to go to Buffalo. Could be multiple pieces along with Flames moving from 18 to 9. Believes Calgary really likes McQueen.

In that case it's definitely a draft table trade. Make sure McQueen is there and then pull the trigger.

Andersson, Pops and 18

Byram and 9

Des that rustle jimmies? Mine are rustled.
