Most interesting series of the playoffs so far. I think I will watch.
It does feel like the pressure is on more now, and even more if they win. Last year we could make the excuse that the Oilers got lucky, easy road to the finals. This year isn't the same. They made Dallas and Vegas look bad. They have lost twice since the 1st 2 games of the playoffs.

Conroy needs to take note. The Oilers do not have a great team, the have 2 great players. We are not winning anything with Rasmus, Coleman and Kadri, but they all have value. We have some prospects that need to play, we can target some young guys that want out from other teams. I really hope he makes some agressive moves this summer.

Oilers not to be denied in revenge match. Depth scoring and stifling defensive play. Health wise they are intact and I think the twins will elevate in the finals. Possibly a sweep and at least a decade worth of insufferable gloating fan base.

Hate Tkachuk if you want but you really should separate all those other things from hockey. They have nothing to do with each other and it's taking hockey fandom way too far.

Dude, we’re adults cheering for adults playing a kid game. Carry whatever reasons you want, it’s all silly to begin with.

Regarding this series, it does feel like it's the Oilers' year, everything seems to go right for them.

I do wonder how they play if they are trailing, Dallas gave up the first goal every game and was chasing most of the series. Also they never seemed to be able to pressure the Oilers D which is what the Panthers do very well.

The Oilers trailed most of the start of games the 1st half of the playoffs. Need to see how they respond to a bad night from the goalies. Been a few games now where Skinner has had a bad one

That just leads to extreme fanaticism if anything goes.

Debour said post game that the Oilers defend much harder than last year but also that Dallas almost never had the lead. Feels like it could be another series like against the Leafs, except the Oilers have two game breakers. This one can go either way, wouldn't be surprised to see seven games.

Gut feel says this is the Oilers year unfortunately, so I'm already bracing myself for an Oilers win.

Damn, this timeline sucks...

And yet some of the best, most memorable hockey and sporting events in general has been deeply political.

You’re off on this one.

This. Unless they win game 1, then it's Oilers in 4. They're on a 12-2 tear against 3 of the best 4 teams in the West with better offense, better defense, and better goaltending.

Hopefully Bobrovsky is competent because Kuemper, Hill, and Ottenger sure weren't.

It’s actually the opposite. Choosing to not cheer for them due to moral character… how is that extreme?

Extreme would be threatening them, etc… choosing to not root for an adult who you think is a piece of #### off the ice is actually a mature thing…

If Florida plays their game and doesn't play into Edmontons game they will win.Florida obviously knows what it takes to win and nearly blowing that 3-0 might be a good thing this year as they'll be better prepared. That said I'm definitely nervous cuz McDavid seems to be on a mission

Watching our former core battle the grease for the Cup 2 years in a row is a rough one.

Godspeed, Panthers.

Not that any of this matters, but Edmonton does have more Canadians and a couple less Americans (didn't count guys who haven't played in the playoffs). It's no secret that Florida likes their Finns, and clearly Edmonton likes their Swedes, but after that, it's pretty much the same.

But really, there's nothing political about this series. This isn't the 4 nations tournament.
