An old hbo one that I never watched until recently was rome. No cgi, tremendous dialogue and really well done. It's like watching a very expensive play. How did I never see this before??
Rome is great. It was cancelled abruptly, so just be aware that they kind of make a mad dash to the finish in the final season because of this. I thought they still did it well, though.
Anytime Rome comes up I have to mention the fun fact that its existence is why we got Deadwood. David Milch had originally planned to set his series in Ancient Rome, but when he found out HBO was already committed to another series set in the period he switched it to the mining camp of Deadwood in 1876.

The Studio is the best season series on TV this season so far.
I watched 1.5 episodes of "The Four Seasons" on Netflix. Great cast, but the .5 should tell you a lot. Found it quite borrowing and not nearly as funny as it should be with the cast.

Agreed The Studio is refreshing, even if at time I want to punch the Seth Rogan character through me TV

What I like about the Studio is that it's one of the more casual, light hearted shows out right now that doesn't take itself seriously. You can just turn it on and relax to silly characters putting themselves into silly situations and laughs. It's a nice change of pace from shows that are constantly on the edge of life and death.

I can see why people don't like the Studio. I like it, but each episode is just piled on anxiety. Seth Rogan's character is a mega ######/putz and it's inconceivable that he was able to rise to the level he's at, but don't we actually all know/ have had a boss like that?
Show is funny, but it does drive me a bit crazy while watching.
Really enjoying Your Friends and Neighbours, but he's definitely going to get caught. Probably soon.
I watched a couple episodes of The Studio.
I guess I don't understand. It's funny I guess.
I will watch the rest. It's not bad or anything.
Perhaps I'm obtuse.
We started the Pitt last night (1.5 episodes in). While it’s entertaining does a story emerge from this? Or is all just ER action the whole time? I feel like I’ll be bored by the end of the second episode.
We’re glad we stuck around. Fantastic show.

Just started watching The Rookie with Nathan Fillion. It's exactly what it sets out to be which is a dramedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. We needed an easy to watch show after all the intensity lately! Severence, the Pitt, Reacher, Silo, From - due for a break and just wanted something to put on and not care about falling asleep if its on haha. Then we watch Tracker and Next Level Chef (my favorite cooking comp show so far) when they come out.
