Nobody else in Canada comes close. Winnipeg maybe, since it’s literally the only thing exciting in the life of a Manitoban, but probably not. They couldn’t even come up with their own thing.

I’ve been there once. It sure is fun, can’t imagine a playoff atmosphere.
Tough one to give up late. Big test for this young team.

Help, save, whatever.

Woohoo!!
Also is Laine hurt? I thought he was the feelgood story redemption arc for Montreal? Or has he just reverted to his usual sulking self?

Seemed a little early to pull the goalie.

Win in DC, make the Caps come back and earn it in Montreal.
Also, hockey gods, let’s not end this day with a wet fart. Kings in a rout please.

Oof...that was a bad beat. They were in it until the end though.
Au revoir.

You should watch a Leafs game.

It is one of the dumbest things coaches are doing now imo
The odds you lose possession increase the longer time you allow
What I would do is absolutely not pull the goalie on the face off, have him at the blue line and establish solid possession

Yep, amazing fans and atmosphere. Crowds like that should be celebrated in a hockey world where most "fans" get upset because people cheer at the wrong time or do the wave. Traditional hockey fans are the most uppity in all of sports, lol.

I agree that Montreal and the Bell Center are the best. I'd love to catch a playoff game there once.
Ever notice how the best fans and rink in the NHL never do the wave though??

I did a trip out East years ago and caught Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal games during the regular season.
I couldn't hate Montreal and their fans, they have fun, love their team and love hockey. Toronto fans are boring. I mostly felt bad for Ottawa for how far they have to trek out to the arena.

I love Habs fans personally, maybe because I am surrounded by them.
They are obviously passionate about their team and knowledgeable about the game. The Bell Centre is a fun atmosphere as are the hundreds of bars around town that are packed in the playoffs. Even though the seats are very pricey, it doesn't feel corporate at all. There is a reason players, who would normally avoid Canada, love to be here.
The Habs are a uniting element of the culture here that provide a common ground for all generations of anglos, francos, quebecois & immigrants to celebrate together.

That's nice, I hope they lose.
